Whenever I crave breakfast for lunch I always think of two places (in my vicinity), A Good Morning and Rick's Cafe. My favorite dish here (which is as basic as you can get) is the corned beef hash, eggs and hash browns (or what I call the "BP Oil Spill and Carb Explosion"). For this dish to be good you need the canned corned beef hash (rather than regular corned beef that's just broken up). This way you can get the hash nice and crispy. For sandwiches regular corned beef is better. The service is good and the restaurant is cozy. There's a good selection and the prices aren't bad at all. I will have to try some of the lunch items next!

Went here on a Friday morning with my boyfriend. It wasn't too crowded and the service was fine. We were able to order pretty quickly and the food didn't take long to come out. I ordered the corned beef hash benedict with hash browns and it was pretty good. The boyfriend ordered an omlette with country potatoes and it was just ok. It looked like they put a slice of kraft singles on top. Guess it just depends what you order.

OK so this time I ordered the vegetarian eggs benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly, and the Hollandaise sauce was rich and mellow. Really good, and I would order this again. The avocado added such nice taste and texture to the dish. They have other kinds too so I might try another kind next time. I'm glad I didn't order the breakfast burrito like last time.. I made the right choice this time and made sure I ordered the potatoes, which are so much better than the hash browns. I will be a returning customer. Someone at another table ordered the country fried steak last time and it looked hefty right. Also, there is a user photo of some AMAZING looking Rocky Road Pancakes.. I'm definitely getting a batch of those. This place actually has some good breakfast/brunch. Service is plentiful and attentive. Good work.

Poached eggs and hollandaise... yummm! This is a cool little place that has quite a bit of room. It has indoor and outdoor seating which is great during the summers. Service was pretty quick. I'm a huge fan of eggs benedict so I ordered the turkey, mushroom and avocado eggs benedict and it came out in about 5 minutes. Amazingly quick for something that is made to order. I thought the poached eggs were perfect. The hollandaise was slightly less flavor than other breakfast places I've been to but alright. Mushrooms seemed a little undercooked but the avocados were great on it. I got the homestyle potatoes which seemed a little oily for me. Next time I'll try the hash browns. All in all, great place for anyone. Really casual atmosphere. Decent prices. nom nom nom

The best diner cafe' in the area. Very friendly waitstaff, Can be busy. I eat here often and get the same dish every time cause I like it so much, She calls out my usual and knows exactly what I want and how I want it, They're the best! good place to read a book and lunch or chat with a friend over breaky. Lattes are HUGE and tasty, Fresh OJ is #1.

I went here Saturday morning for the first time and my verdict is: Food was good, coffee was great. I got the vegetarian scramble with egg beaters and country potatoes. The scramble had large slices of fresh avocado, among other things, and really hit the spot. It was a bit on the bland side, but that was probably because I substituted whole eggs for egg beaters. Adding a bit of tabasco sauce helped. The cappuccino I ordered exceeded my expectations. They use Java City coffee beans, which are usually pretty good but I rarely expect people working at restaurant to be very good baristas. Nothing personal, they're just usually not trained to use the machines. To my pleasant surprise the cappuccino came with plenty of thick, fluffy foam on top and the espresso tasted like it was "pulled" just right. The service was friendly, except a bit on the slow side, but not too bad.

I live nearby and this is one of my weekend togo place. This place sometime can be really busy so prepare to wait ~30 mins if you come in a weekend morning. Staffs are friendly and welcoming and food is always good and in decent portion. I always get Royal Deck with rye bread sandwich.

Delicious food...you get a ton of food for cheap!!!!! It can get pretty packed so get there early...oh and did I mention the pancakes...to die for..... The scrambler is what I had the first time....it came with a choice of country potatos/h.browns. And bread..i chose the country papas....yumm.... Hands down a great eatery....the place must be busy a lot because when we went early one a.m..(when it wasnt busy) the staff was still running n scrambling around...

YU-HUMMMM-YYYY!!!! Cute quaint lil cafe with breakfast delectable galore. Hard to narrow down what I wanted for my first visit. When I walked in, a girl at the counter had eggs benedict that made me rethink my uneasiness about poached eggs - it looked AMAZING. I opted for the Waffle Wonder meal and my boyfriend the Country Breakfast (or variation thereof) with a banana pancake on the side. I had hot chocolate while we waited for our food. Initially, not chocolatey enough, but my big mouth love has a rule of sending things back if not up to his liking so he mentioned to the waitress and she quickly got me another perfectly-chocolate hot choc. My waffle was thin (which I prefer over belgium), but a TAD overcooked (a tad hard, nothing my butter and syrup couldn't help with) and I gobbled it right up. Eggs fluffy and not dry and sausage had the perfect blend of pepper. I'm probably going to dream about that sausage. When I finally looked up and took a breath from stuffing my face, I noticed my boyfriend's biscuits and gravy were almost gone. Had to dive in and get a taste of that real quick. Had major issues getting anything else of his plate. Service was a little slow. It wan't full, but busy and my beau definitely made a comment like "how long does it take to cook eggs". However, after breakfast we both said worth the wait and maybe even worth a drive from SJ on Sunday for breakfast. Pros: FOOD! (everything we had was good), cute quaint environment, homestyle yumminess! Cons: could see how it could be crowded, limited seating, a little slow on the service

The wait for the table wasn't TOO bad on a Sunday morning at 11:30am. Lots of families and couples were there, with both indoor and outdoor seating that goes along the entire side of the building. Find the serve to put your name on the list, then wait patiently for them to call you (at least they have a 30 min limit on their free WiFi, so people don't hog tables all day long :P). The menu has your typical brunch items, but there are a lot of healthier options, too. Their prices are lower than at most brunch places, especially with the specials, which include coffee, tea, or freshly squeezed orange juice (not watered down with ice). On top of that, everything comes with either HASH BROWNS or country potatoes and also toast. If you want less carbs, you can substitute the potatoes with salad free of charge. The breakfast burrito was pretty large, with a soft flour tortilla that was grilled just slightly on the outside, with melted cheese, potatoes (a lot of potatoes..), sausage, and eggs on the inside. They have 3 different breakfast burritos starting at only $4.99. As for omelettes, I've never seen such generous fillings. It was mostly the filling, wrapped in a thin layer of egg. I got the Skinny Chicken, with egg whites free of charge. There were generous amounts of grilled chicken breast (well seasoned), with tomatoes, caramelized onions, and mushrooms inside. They do everything on a large griddle, and the caramelization on the onions and mushrooms make all the difference. Unlike at some other places, it was not over-buttery. In addition to the above, we couldn't resist the banana pancakes. I don't usually like pancakes, but these have mashed bananas INSIDE the batter, which make the pancakes so much better. The edges were slightly browned, and it was topped with fresh banana slices. With the banana inside, you don't even need a lot of syrup. I'd probably avoid the waffles, which looked slightly dinky on the table next to ours. Other tables' biscuits and sausage and benedicts looked good, though. They do have Java City coffee/espresso available, with non-fat milk and soy milk options. I like the open kitchen, but it's also a small kitchen, so if every table orders at around the same time, you may end up waiting a while for your food. Even when it's not crowded, the food takes a while. The servers are friendly, and it's a cute family owned place, so they try hard to please. Prices are super reasonable for the quality and portions. AND they do take American Express. This has definitely become my new local breakfast/brunch place!

Coming from the Central Valley there are a ton of quaint little diners/cafes/breakfast/lunch spots; but over here in Los Altos, it seems that they are lacking such establishments. Everyone I spoke to says this is the spot for cheap eats, so today (a Sunday) my mom and I went in for breakfast around 9 am. It was hopping, but not crazy busy. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken in a timely manner by a friendly waitress. Our food and coffee came hot and quick..It was super delicious! Big portions too! We will definitely be coming back to try the lunch menu. The staff is great and very nice. A great place to take out of town friends!

After waiting in my car for this place to open at 6:15 AM when the business hours sign clearly says it opens at 6, I have to admit I wasn't too keen on liking my experience right off the bat. Since D has to get in the office by 7, time was of the essence for our breakfast date, so D wanted to stick it out. I have to admit I'm glad we did. He got the good morning scramble with white toast and hash browns, and I got the veggie benedict (avocado, grilled tomato with the usual poached egg, toasted english muffin and hollandaise sauce, which I asked for on the side). They apologized for making us wait and promptly took our order. I also got a small fresh squeeze oj. Our meal was satisfying... the portions were a bit larger than what we would usually eat, and the overall taste was pretty decent. Especially for the price! Our dishes plus my oj and a latte to go for him (double-shot!) plus tax was around $22. Not bad for somewhere open @615ish with cute and cozy wooden decor. We will probably be back again for another of our weekly breakfast dates. Next time, I would be more than happy to give 4 stars for the same quality of food, service, ambiance and reasonable pricing... if they're actually open at 6 like they say they are. (C'mon! False advertising?? Don't leave a hungry customer in your parking lot at the crack of dawn, please!)

Great local place, very friendly service. Good food, I usually have the hot mama which is great. They get quite busy on the weekends, and in spite of that the service is pretty good. I used to goto Hobees, but since I found this place, it has become my usual weekend breakfast place.

I'm not a huge fan of the sausage. Though I can be tempted if the sausage is mixed with diverse deliciousness. I believe most people to be the same. Pure blood sausage is just mundane. Not to mention it's not very American. Although you might find an undercurrent of sausage discrimination still swirling in the Jim Crow south. But who cares about them people, right? Bunch of wieners. Must be a Vienna sausage complex or something. All I know is that they need to re-link-uish the hate. But I digress. In this case, at A Good Morning Cafe, the Chicken Apple Sausage omelet capitulates my taste buds and integrates two foreign flavors in a way that would entice Rosa Parks herself to wrap her buns around it. Add some mushrooms, American cheese, a side of country potatoes and whole wheat toast, and you'll be advocating non-violent Civil disobedience in no time. My favorite idiosyncrasy of the cafe is the outdoor seating area which is dog friendly. The gf and I have taken advantage of this and have enjoyed many a pleasant Sunday morning strolls over with our favorite pooch. The only con is that the service can at times be non existent due to a lack of staffing during peak periods. So make it a point to get there early. And just the tip. . . Love thy sausage.

I went here on a Saturday morning after searching "breakfast" on yelp. There isn't a whole lot of breakfast joints in Los Altos but this is the best I have found. It looked like a lot of people had heard about this place since the place was full. We sat outside so there was not wait. First, when we went inside to ask for a table my boyfriend saw these freshly baked, big croissants on display. It was the first thing he ordered and the best. Make sure to ask them to warm them first. Its a week later and I still cant stop thinking about that croissant:) We ordered coffee and tea. My mug had a chunk for ceramic missing so not the highest of quality in breakfast-ware. I ordered the new/healthy turkey sausage scramble. If you like meat it would be a good choice for you. There was more sausage then veggies or eggs. It was good and hearty. My boyfriend ordered the veggie egg Benedict and it was very tasty. When you order any entree you have a choice of hash browns or potatoes. The potatoes are a better choice if you like seasoning.

I feel a little bad giving this place three stars. I really want to give it four, but the lackluster pancakes I had today make it very hard for me to give it four. Pancakes are important to a breakfast place, and can't be messed up! This place opens super early, which is great when you have an 8 am meeting at work that you need to haul your butt to. My friend and I came here bright and early. The sun wasn't completely up yet! While waiting for my friend I ordered the chocolate chip muffin and it was everything a pastry lover could want - it was served freshly baked, it was still hot and it was so fresh that the sides of the muffin hadn't yet solidified and were still stuck to the paper bottoms. There was an abundance of chocolate chips and yet the muffin wasn't too sweet. I will definitely be back to eat more muffins - on my way out I saw a berry muffin that looked delectable. For breakfast we ordered the little boy scramble, which is egg whites, spinach, and tomatoes. We ordered it with the country potatoes and wheat toast. We really enjoyed this dish, the potatoes were flavored just right, and the scramble tasted light and healthy. I would definitely order this again. What we were sad about were the pancakes. We ordered the rocky road, which comes with two pancakes covered in chocolate, marshmallows, and whipped cream. We saw this giant beautiful plate come toward us and we dug in with gusto...and were met with pancakes that were cold and tasted like styrofoam. The marshmallows were not melted at all, and we couldn't really finish the dish...sad...we ended up leaving those behind for the scramble. I do like this place though, the staff is nice, it's open early, and it's got great muffins. Muffins!!

Ate here this morning, for the first time. Food was quite good, about average price, and service was good. i could see that it could get crowded pretty fast and so the servers might have trouble keeping up. Luckily we left before the rush.

I'd give 3-4 stars for food, but 2 star for service. We waited to be greeted by anyone for so long, we finally had to stop someone and say "Hi, who do we talk to about getting a table". The servers themselves were friendly, but my food came out 12 minutes before the rest of the table, and that error was only noticed when I flagged down the server and she went to the kitchen to find the food. Turns out it went to another table. As to the food - very good, decent eggs benedict (even cold) and fluffy pancakes. My son is a burger fanatic so he tried the "best burger in town", but decided it was ok, but not the best. Fries were undercooked. I doubt we'll go back because there are just sooooo many other places to get a good breakfast.

Just saying upfront, I only go here for breakfast so this review doesn't pertain to lunch. I do like A good morning, and will be a semi-regular here. I wish I could give is 3.5 stars, as I'm sure many yelp fans feel they could give half stars in their reviews, c'est la vie. This place gets fairly packed, and LOUD! Inside. We always sit outside, even if its cold the heaters do a good enough job. Outside, it's relaxed and much more quiet. The service is friendly but unorganized (e.g. You'll be asked the same questions from several different servers) and food is a touch slow coming out.) The scrambles, eggs, chicken sausage all great. The bagel and croissant sandwiches are tasty and bread are good. The pancakes are not, and the syrup is cheap. I can easily make better at home. I have not tried the french toast or waffles. This is fine, we generally flip between two breakfast places, and the other one has awesome pancakes so I go there for that, and here for the other stuff. Unless you have to wait more than 20 minutes for a seat and another 20 for food, it will gerenally be a good morning here.

I was not impressed for several reasons. The first was my apple juice glass had bright pink lipstick (not mine) all over the rim. We only saw our server once when he took our order. Someone else dropped our food off and nobody checked to see if our meal was ok. It was, I ordered the All American and my guy ordered the Big Boy. Both were very tasty. The place was very busy so maybe it was a fluke that we got such poor service. I won't be in any hurry to eat here again.

Fantastic! I chose the Turkey Club Eggs Benedict with roasted turkey, bacon, and tomato... homemade hollandaise sauce can't be beat. Service was very friendly and enjoyed a peaceful breakfast. It wasn't too crowded as I started my day around 7 AM on Friday.

This is a 3.5. It's the best greasy spoon brunch we've found in the area where I'm not embarrassed when my daughter pitches a fit. The omelettes are quite tasty. I've had the Bay, Queen, and Chorizo. All good. I think they bake their own muffins which are unreasonably awesome in size. On the bad side, the service can be somewhat suspect, especially when this place gets really busy.

  • Tara R.

This place is too cute. The food is great. I usually hook up a breakfast burrito which is BOMB! You can get breakfast anytime which is nice, so if you are having a slow day or hungover this place is perfect lol. Its a little small, so if they get busy you are stuck outside or waiting. Honestly, I've never had too much of an issue with that. The staff has been pretty fast in my opinion. Good food, good price. Try it! xoxoxo

  • Janice C.

Mm, this is one of my favorite brunch places because they have such an extensive eggs benedict menu! I believe they have 6 or 8 different choices. The hollandaise sauce here is flavorful and thick. I like that the hash browns are not too salty but aren't bland either. There is usually seating available if you come around lunch time.

One of the largest breakfast menus I've ever seen! It's the local "greasy spoon" - WITHOUT the grease. yay! The service is OK, but there were a few communication issues. Overall, it's one of the only decent breakfast places in the area, so I'm sure I'll be back. NOTE: When I ask for a side of salsa, could I have more than a thimble full please? Thanks!

was craving breakfast food and was unwilling to travel far...so i found my self at this tiny yet cute & cozy "diner" right next to the pho place i've been to a few times (i suspect that they are owned by the same person/family) I really wanted waffles but thought i should get some protein too so I ordered the #3. the waffles were pretty disappointing...tiny and thin and hard...the waffle maker my roommate had (plus my homemade batter) made better waffles... the pancakes, on the other hand, were plump and fluffy. some of their other menu items looked pretty good too...i def see myself going there whenever i crave breakfast food...just not the waffles!

  • Katie L.

We love this little breakfast spot! Prices are very good and they offer combo breakfasts that include coffee for around $8-9. It's usually moderately busy and the servers are very friendly, but a bit on the slow side, which is not a problem when you're coming for a cozy, leisurely brunch. And most importantly, the food is good too. We love the French Toast and benedicts.

    (4)
  • Cynthia C.

Take-out is definitely a preference for me esp. when the restaurant doesn't provide my version of cozy. LOVED the healthy versions on the menu: -Skinny chicken egg white omelet-it wasn't hampered by buckets of oil. Yummy spiced country potatoes and pillowy multigrain toast. The sandos were equally good, fresh ingredients and were stacked properly to maintain quality. Starches can be substituted w/a salad. Nice. Stay away from the 'freshly brewed Lipton Iced Tea', ugh, it was disgusting. Brunch for two, $19.65.

Just had breakfast here and enjoyed it very much. It seems to be family-run (or close enough) and everyone was working very hard and super friendly. I had the Burlingame scramble (chicken apple sausage, mushroom & swiss cheese) and finished every bite! The scrambles a nice alternative to the usual omelettes. +1 for eggs being fluffy!!!! We came late on a Saturday (12:30pm) so it wasn't terribly crowded. I also can't comment on the coffee because we had brought our own from Philz. But we'll likely be back here!

i finally went on Sunday, around 11:30 am, got outdoor seating, two tables avail outside and inside. Was brought menus immediately, got our fresh squeezed oj juices quickly but the coffee took a while. Ordered the Spanish scramble and Eggs Florentine, with 2 juices and a coffee, $22. My hashbrowns were nice and crisp. For the spanish scramble, they ran out of salsa. Food was good, just enough, not huge. The service was a bit slow but he was very friendly, I think he had to cover all the tables by himself. Dog friendly outside and a perfect day to sit outside and eat breakfast.

A good breakfast, great portions, and a solid price. But don't bother with the waffle. A Good Morning was the first restaurant that came to mind for us for a late brunch on a holiday weekend. We got there and were immediately seated (at nearly 2pm, mind you) and were served quiickly. The breakfast specials, which are generally protein/entree, eggs, toast, and side as well as fresh OJ, coffee, or tea were only $7-9. However, I made the choice to order a side of hash browns which, while absolutely delicious, left me with way too much food! The waffle, however, felt and tasted like an Eggo waffle. Nothing like a belgium waffle, it was nearly flat with no ridges and not fluffy at all. Not sure how they even managed to pull it off if they were using a waffle iron! Nevertheless, A Good Morning is a solid brunch diner that won't break your bank or leave you regretting your decision the rest of the day.

  • Mee-Sun Y.

My favorite thing about A Good Morning is the fresh squeezed orange juice! They have one of those heavy duty juicers you usually see at Jamba Juice. The only catch is that the small orange juice takes only few gulps to drink. (Now it's in one of my profile pictures.) Other than the OJ, I would say that the breakfast is pretty standard. My friend had the Vegetarian Eggs Benedict, and the hollandaise was pretty bland. I just went with the traditional plate of eggs, hashbrowns, and sausages -- and it was just as you'd expect for breakfast. We went at peak breakfast time on a Saturday morning, and we sat outside because it was pretty full. I would go back because it seems like a really nice family runs the place, but I think their food could kick it up a notch. (But props for carrying all the right hot sauces! Tapatio, Tabasco, and green pepper Tabasco... perfect.)

Had a reasonable breakfast here. Some eggs, toast (not very toasted though, more like hard bread) and fruit. And a freshly squeezed OJ which was actually very good. Wasn't particularly interesting, but acceptable. (woot, 800th yelp review!)

I'm a local, and Good Morning has become my favorite go-to spot for brunch, any day of the week. They've definitely earned my business as a regular. I can really only think of good things to say. Just the fact that the food is very good and they're a family-owned restaurant is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, and the location is perfect. I usually opt for outdoor seating. The wait staff remembers you, and in my case, my regular order as well. : ) The location is critical too: It's on El Camino Real -- not always a good thing. But this is definitely the nicest part of that oft-overgrown thoroughfare. Good Morning is in one of the few strip-malls that feels quaint, because A) the strip mall is comprised *entirely* of family owned businesses, (in fact, I only use the term 'strip-mall' as a technicality), and B) this particular strip mall is located in the small bit of Los Altos that touches El Camino Real. So you're in arm's reach of the manicured upscale air of Los Altos, but you're not so deep in that city as to be isolated. You can walk to dozens of other stores, even big-box stores in the San Antonio Shopping Center. Meanwhile, Good Morning is tucked away just far enough from the bustling shopping clusters to give you a sense of connectedness, while still dining in a relaxed suburban California atmosphere. So yep... This is my kind of place. :) Added bonus: I easily get access to Google's free WiFi from the city of Mountain View from anywhere in the restaurant.

After waking up at the crack of noon on a Sunday, I found myself at this restaurant. I was craving buttermilk pancakes and a quick Yelp search turned this up. I had the #4 with sausage, eggs, white toast and potatoes in addition to two buttermilk pancakes. The potatoes were just the right amount of spicy and great texture. They needed some ketchup and tabasco for that kick, but were perfect. The cajun sausage was perfectly spicy and flavorful, but I thought my order came with two. There was only one. The toast was crispy and soaked up the egg yolk perfectly. The buttermilk pancakes were awesome. So fluffy and buttery. Not good for the heart, but great for the stomach. I drenched it in syrup and it was all soaked by the time I finished them. My friend ordered the waffle, egg and sausage meal. The waffle was smaller than we expected and a little dry. It wasn't nearly as good as the pancakes. The meal was a little on the expensive side, but well worth it. The restaurant itself is not small, but quaint. I did notice a couple of flies buzzing around, but at least the bathroom was very clean. The service was quick and polite and our food came out within 5 minutes.

I love the food here, but they need to study restaurant management 101. They never bring all the food at once. Poor customer service. No communication among employees and management. They never apologize for messing up. Don't know if I ever want to come back. I can find other descent food with better service many other places around here.

This place has the best omelets in the world! My personal favorite is the bacon avocado. Both potato options are great as well and they have the excellent coffee. Possibly the best part about A Good Morning is that the service is so friendly. I you go there more than a couple of times and take the time to chat up the servers they will call you by name every time you walk in the door.

Not a really great place. Would have given it a four star if the bacon isn't so thick and fatty. So, we ordered spinach egg benedict and corn beef hash here. The corn beef hash is really really salty. But it definitely pairs well with the hash browns. The hash brown is rather tasteless, but it's still oily and good. The toast is okay, nothing to rave about. They do put butter on your toast though. The egg benedict is kinda... strange. An order comes with two. One of the egg is poached perfectly (with the egg yolk comes oozing out when you cut it in half) and the other one.. not so perfect (the egg yolk is hard). But it's definitely a good dish. The bacon that comes with the benedict is really thick though. and It's not crispy either. It's scarily fatty. Didn't try the pancakes or the waffles. It's a good place to come to. Kinda expensive... Oh, the service is not that great. The people seems to be avoiding you. o: My sister only got on refill of her coffee. The people working there seems to be too afraid to approach us or something. It's rather irritating. It takes them some time to give us our check too.

This place is PACKED. The brunch experience I had was OK. I ordered the Breakfast Delight (which includes 2 pancakes, bacon/sausage, and 1 eggs). I asked for banana pancake. But this place only tops the banana on the top of the pancake. (Slight disappointment). Pancakes were fluffy and thick - I could only finish half of them...! My husband ordered the Egg Benedict and it was alright. I ordered a cup of coffee and it's not bad. The double espresso was so-so. But the star of the breakfast was the bacons - they were thick AND crispy. (YUM). And the freshly squeeze orange juice is a killer!

Place was everything I look for and expect from a breakfast place. Great food, Hearty portions, great value, good service comfortable setting, and best of all... its NOT a chain resturant in suburbia! Friend and I went here Sunday morning. It was packed, yet we lucked out with a small table immediately. Food came out incredible fast. Had a breakfast sandwich with country potatoes. Wow, I couldn't finish it all! Coffee or small juice is part of the meal...nice they dont nickel and dime you! Everything was great, and we left satisfied. Establishment is bright, open, and clean. They do pack in lots of tables and people into the smallish space, so expect to be close to strangers if you go on weekend. Make sure you discuss very strange topics so you can check out the looks on peoples faces that are evesdroping ;-) .I'm puzzled after reading so many other reviews here in yelp, saying this is the best place etc etc but most only give'em 4 stars. What up wit dat? Whats up wit dat????

Small place with great food and nice staff. Hard to find parking around lunch time in the busy complex but worth it.

It seems the first time I came here was a fluke. Ever since then, I have been getting poached eggs that are overcooked. Also, the pastry with the eggs Benedict also tastes pre-cooked.

Cute little place with an expansive menu. My best friend and I got two different scrambles but could have totally shared one. The portions were more than generous and the prices were very fair. We both enjoyed our food and loved all the fun choices (chicken apple sausage!) We will definitely go back again. What is funny is that we wanted to find a place with pancakes and because the menu was so amazing we didn't even get them. Now there's a reason to go back!

Good food, good service, great prices. I like that I don't feel rushed to get out of there. People sit and read the paper. The coffee is good. Service is friendly and their prices are great. I go to breakfast with my buddy every other week. Once we went to A Good Morning we've stopped trying other places. This was just what we were looking for. There's no rush. You can have a slow breakfast and catch up. Same nice waitress each time. it has become a part of our bi-weekly routine.

I agree with the other reviewers that when the place gets busy, the service goes down so perhaps they should hire another staff to cover their grounds during peak times. Their rating is a solid 3.5/5~ but since there's no .5 option, I put 4~ ^^|| I've been there 3 times, I brought my friend along recently and it was her first time. She had trouble understanding what the server was saying due to the server's heavy accent, but it became kind of an awkward moment... This is not a critique about accents ~ Misunderstandings/mishearing happen even with people having perfect accents! but...i feel the server's expression could have communicated things in a friendlier manner and the 'awkward moment' could have been resolved with a smile or "sorry I didn't get that can you repeat what you said?" without leaving my friend - the customer - feeling like it was her fault for not understanding the server's accent. Fortunately, my friend liked the food as much as I did and didn't mention anything, so perhaps I'll bring her next time. I haven't tried their waffles or anything, but I loved the different eggs Benedict they offer. Yum yum! Portions are good for me - and I am grateful they let you switch out the hashbrowns/potatoes with fruits instead! I'm happy to have found a brunch place that's not Denny's or Country Gormet

After eating at enough brunch places around here, PA, and SF, I'd say this is my go to place for a decent indulgent breakfast. I like this place better than Country Gourmet when I want a no-fuss American breakfast. The pancakes, hash browns, and sides are pretty solid but the egg dishes sometimes have too much oil and too much cheese so be careful. The place is usually packed on the weekends but turnover time is about 10-15 minutes so it's worth lingering around and waiting. The fresh-squeezed OJ is bomb, the bottomless coffee is....aite. They could improve a bit on faster service but if you have the time to sit down for brunch, you're clearly not in a hurry anyway.

I love this place. The wait for a table is never too long, the service is always good and the food is really good. I have only been here a few times, but I had a good experience each time.

The restaurant was half full at noon. I ordered the two egg breakfast over well with bacon, hash browns and wheat toast. The egg was room temperature, the rest was not much warmer. They offered to redo it, but since nothing on the plate was hot the first time around, I was not willing to give them a second chance.

The food here is a good price, but it's not exceptional by any means. Be prepared for a wait for breakfast/brunch on the weekends. Portions are a pretty good size. Ask for your English muffin/toast/etc "dry" with butter on the side -- if you don't, it'll come drenched in butter.

Their egg benedict is absolutely delicious! They have a great selection of breakfast items that are reasonably priced. The portions are pretty decent and the staff is friendly. They serve breakfast all day long so it is a GREAT place to go if you crave a fancy breakfast!

Dear Ling @ A Good Morning, I love the solid breakfast you provide and the relaxed atmosphere... "Saturday morning creeps into town ever so slowly. Sunlight trickles in through the blinds and you roll over, wrapped up in the sheets, hoping to snooze for just a bit longer. With no need to jump out of bed and scramble to get ready for work, time slows. This pace continues as you slide into a table on the patio where you'll find nothing but laid-back, friendly service and a warm breeze. Tables balance on the edge of the sidewalk, tipping into the parking lot while your coffee mug clings to the wire mesh tabletop that tilts ever-so-slightly. The sidewalk-induced charm distracts your attention from your fork slipping away. *Ping*, one always gets away. Whether you've gone all out with the eggs benedict, chocolate and marshmallow dotted rocky road pancakes or chorizo-invaded Mexican omelet, or chosen a comforting bowl of nutty oatmeal, you've ordered the best thing on the menu. Wash it down with their fresh-squeezed orange juice and you'll know just why this little café is called A Good Morning." --The thing is, the laid-back staff seem to disappear behind the counter after they've delivered the goods. Your coffee mug goes empty and when you can't stand it anymore, find yourself having to get up from your table to walk inside and ask for more. When your toast is limp, seeming as though it never encountered a toaster, you waiter never returned to check on you and so you just suck it up and consume in dissatisfaction. I love this place dearly but the service seems to have gone the way of your silverware, sliding off the table and *ping* onto the ground below.

My husband and I enjoy coming here for Saturday brunch. Food is good and the atmosphere is cozy. Sometimes you have to wait up to 30 minutes because it's so full, but this is the only good breakfast place in mountain view and Los Altos area.

Let me begin with the nice things and then the not so nice things. 1) portions good 2) food good They must've been really busy, because we received less than stellar service. 1) They didn't ask us if we wanted to sit outside or inside 2) We asked for orange juice. They defaulted to their large size and did not ask us if we wanted small or large. Large is not that large either. The orange juice was warm and there was no ice. We ended up slipping ice in from our iced waters to get it cold. 3) After finishing our meal, we waited patiently for 30 minutes to get our check 4) After giving them our credit card, we waited an additional 10 minutes for them to get it back

My wife and I have been coming here about once a week for two years. The food is constantly good, with a menu that has a wide variety of tasty options, healthy and unhealthy. Coffee is good, OJ is fresh but has a tendency to be watered down. I like their eggs Benedict and big country breakfast. You can't go wrong here for breakfast or brunch.

I don't know. I'm torn. I've never been to the actual location but I have had food from here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good in a bad sort of way. It was a nicely toasted piece of bread, heavily buttered with eggs and sausage... pretty tasty in a greasy spoon sort of way and that's what I'm into so yeah... it was all good with me. For lunch I had a sandwich... the "Bleu" to be exact. Turkey, bacon, bleu cheese, avocado. 1 slice of turkey. literally. one. one. Give me a break, just don't give me the turkey then and call it a BBLT (Bacon, Bleu, lettuce, tomato... yes, I'm clever). Very unfortunate. Prob. wont eat here again unless the office is ordering bfast.

Good food, good prices. Slow service and while the prices are low for food - getting a drink builds up your bill quite a bit: OJ = $3.50, Coffee = $2.00. Perfectly poached eggss on my Benedict. I would return!

Good morning, terrible afternoon? So my coworkers get off clinic and we have an hour twenty for lunch, plenty of time to grab some burgers or a scramble right? It took over 45 minutes for our food to get out. At 45 we ended up asking them to box and it took another 5-10 minutes for it to come out. I ordered a TBA (turkey bacon avocado) without bacon, but upon opening my box found no turkey or bacon! I was sooo pissed. The box had "TBA with no bacon" written on it so the order got put in right, we left them a nice tip so I don't think it was malice, it was just a mistake, but we were waiting for so long and they messed up my order?! $8 for two slices of bread, a slice of tomato and some avocado?? I feel cheated. It was nice that they wrote on the boxes what each order was, it was well packaged (had all the ketchup, pepper and utensils). The burgers were juicy and what was there of my sandwich (avocado and tomato) was tasty. The person who ordered the apple sausage scramble wasn't too impressed and stated he wouldn't order it again.

We had about 45 minutes to kill, so we decided to grab a quick bite here. Oh boy, do I regret wasting our time here! The service was horrible. When we arrived there were 2 people working, and the place wasn't even busy at the time (maybe 3 or 4 tables occupied?), so I don't understand why they were completely RUDE to us. Basically we walked in and checked out the menu, within a minute or two of dealing with those 2 employees (one behind the counter and one wiping up a table) we left! That must be some kind of a record... getting insulted within 2 minutes of walking into a business! Too bad, because of all the times we've passed by it, I've always wanted to try it. Ended up walking across the street to Peet's instead, which is definitely not what we wanted, but I'll spend my money there any day instead of this place! This is my first negative review I've posted, mostly because I'd rather only post reviews for my positive experiences. However, I'm so appalled by our treatment, that I couldn't not post about this. I wish Yelp would let me give them 0 stars, because we definitely won't be returning. This place is getting 1 star, because I can't give any less.

Decent little diner spot, only a few blocks from the Courtyard Marriott. Saturday morning I only had 30 minutes for breakfast before a work function, but I knew from last year that the hotel restaurant wasn't a tasty option. But it was Saturday morning, so "A Good Morning" was packed. However, they had a sign advertising bagel sandwiches. I asked how quickly they could make a "take out" order. The woman at the counter assured me under 10 minutes. I got to choose sausage or ham (went with ham) and my type of cheese (asked for cheddar). Only 4 minutes later I was presented with a warm and tasty egg, ham, and cheese bagel sandwich. Thanks! The only negative? The "cheddar" cheese was a Kraft single...or some type of pretend "American" cheese, that melted in its strange way, rather than a slice of actual cheddar. Oh well. Still, it was only $5 and super fast, and WAY better than the hotel food. The next morning we had a leisurely sunday sit down breakfast. Delighted to find that they had SO MANY Eggs Benedict choices (8 or 10 different combinations). Very extensive menu. And they had very powerful heaters around the under-cover outdoor tables, so it was pleasant, even on a cold rainy morning. My coworker got the orange juice (listed as: "REAL" fresh squeezed orange juice). We'd joked about the mis-use of quotation marks, and how it calls into question whether it is actually real or not. However, when she got her glass, she said it tasted like Tang or some other mix, and not real. So maybe they put those quotes there on purpose? (I didn't try it, so can't say, either way) In any case, our breakfasts were both quite tasty. I had the veggie benedict (grilled tomato slices and avocado). Lovely hollandaise sauce, and PERFECTLY poached eggs. The country potatoes were also tasty. The jam packets on the table had seen better days (been outdoors for too long, I think) so we skipped that part. Strangely, they don't have any recycling bins, but they sell a large number of glass bottled Snapple type drinks. Living in Seattle, I'm used to recycling being ubiquitous. Maybe Los Altos/Palo Alto area doesn't recycle really at all, or maybe it's unique to this shopping center. *shrug*

Helen is an absolute sweetheart. First time coming here and I will definitely be coming back. Portions are huge and the price is decent. The restaurant is definitely busy but they know what customer service is as they (waitresses) come and check up on you often. The food is good. It was better then I expected. Scrambled is great, french toast had just the right fluff. All in all, very enjoyable.

The to-go option seems pretty popular here. You don't see breakfast places that have this very often, but since they offer breakfast sandwiches it is quite feasible. The prices are really reasonable ($7.25 for your standard egg, bacon, hash brown breakfast), and the portions are very large. They even throw in a tiny orange juice for free. The meat and eggs are better than the hash browns. Monster ballads on the radio and a very traditional menu earn this place the "All American Breakfast" it advertises, and the first generation American employees provide excellent service.

1.23.10, 10:00am Busy, but got a table within 3 minutes. + Blueberry pancakes $6.75? 2 medium to large sized pancakes. Really soft, airy, fluffy, blueberry studded pancakes. Doesn't look like much at first, but actually turns out to be an ok size. + Vegetarian omelet $7-8? Bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, lots of fresh avocado. So fresh and tasty. Comes with toast and a choice of potato side, we got the country potatoes, which were just ok. Your standard baked potato, a little squishy. I was surprised my sister and I finished everything. No leftovers? Kind of sad, but the portions were good. Not huge, but good. PS: the menu prices have gone up from what the menus online say, anywhere from $.25 to $1.00 maybe.

I give this place 4 stars since it does a great job of being a no frills, simple, small diner. I don't do fancy things for breakfast, the only thing I ever get is eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, sometimes pancakes, and a few other things. I really appreciated the staff. They are Southeast Asian folks, which garuntees that they will always be friendly, polite, and hard working. The bacon was great, the hashbrowns were the shredded type, well cooked. Perfect! The egss were cooked well, and were large. Coffee and pricing is great. I had one pancake, and it was heavy, but I really shouldn't be eating those anyway! The place is small, so that means waiting for a table, but never waiting too long for your food. I cannot vouch for the lunch selections, since I don't eat lunch at diners. I will happily be back.

There is something quaint and friendly about this place. The food is good and surpasses typical diner standards. I am only giving this place 3 stars because of the following reasons: 1) The sausage biscuits and gravy are not good. The biscuits would actually be quite good by themselves, but I think the sausage gravy is awful. It is too smooth and too thin, and I judge breakfast places based upon the biscuits and gravy. 2) Service feels sort of slow. I feel like I spend too much time waiting for food, waiting or drinks, waiting to place orders.

Service was slow in the beginning to clean table, provide menu, bring drinks, and take order. Food came out quick. Ordered the veggie omelet for $7.49, asked for dry wheat toast. They got the wheat part right but it came buttered, not dry. Breakfast potatoes came with a lot of flavor and seasoning. Veggie omelet was a big 3 egger. It aw good but I should have added cheese. Food was good. A very nice breakfast pantry. Small getaway style restaurant. I would definitely come again.

Today was the third time I ate here and overall the breakfasts are good. Big portions and pretty tasty. But soo very busy and very little help. The ladies here have to hustle to clean tables, take orders, bring food/drinks, and check you out. I feel the menu is a little pricey but since the food is yummy and portions are bigger than normal, I guess once in awhile eating here is worth it. It's usually pretty crowded so I guess that says a lot.

When I first visited this small cafe 3.5 years ago, the staff was a mix of lazy, pissy, and rude waitresses. Cleanliness and promptness of service were uneven and rare. The only reason why I ate at this place was for the chicken apple sausages. As a non-mammal eater, it's hard to find a restaurant that serves poultry-based breakfast sausages. However, I reached a limit with the place, once I got sick from undercooked sausages. That was it. I didn't want to go there anymore. But lo and behold, about 2 years ago, the place was saved by the new and current owners. They not only cleaned up the place, the staff is friendly, attentive, and very quick. Their current menu has affordable breakfast specials that include a great cup of coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice. My kids love going there, and with the exception of the restaurant's name, it's a totally different establishment. I believe it's family-owned and you really see and appreciate the hard work the staff puts into the service and quality of food. It's our family's favorite breakfast place. The cost is much less than the Creamery, cleaner than Hobee's, and much healthier than a Denny's or a IHOP. A Good Morning, indeed!

Good Morning is a decent place to have a lazy brunch. Most entrees are reasonably priced under $10 and you get a fat plate of food which is nice. The potatoes are a good choice over the hash browns if you have the option. There's nothing really distinctive about this place and it is fairly busy on weekend mornings. Service is erratic though. Our empty water cups were refilled 3 times the first 5 minutes we sat down but never again after that. The check took a long time to flag down too. I think brunch took about 1.5 hours total so if you are in a hurry I'd probably avoid this place.

Service was sub-par and waiter had an attitude. Food took an hour to come out of the kitchen and omelet was lacking in taste. Certainly not the best. Fairly priced though.

Hankering for some breakfast eats this morning, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place since it was close and heck we were just next door at pho vi hoa last night. This place is more of a cafe than a restaurant and if they had more space I think this place would get tons of business. There was one person at the cashier, one waitress and so they were short of hands. We ordered a grilled chicken omelette, home style potatoes and an english muffin. They were nice enough to split our order into two dishes! That was a pleasant surprise. The home style potatoes were also prepared differently from other places and were a welcomed surprised. The grilled chicken was very flavorful and peppery just how I liked it. The mushrooms in the omelette soaked up the flavors of the chicken. Since the waitress was so busy, we ended up having to refill our waters on two occasions since I drink tons of water (about 3.5 glasses this time). This place was cute and I would go again to try the other dishes since the omelette was good. Also I liked the interior, it was quite cute, but small. I felt like I had a healthy meal enough to fill two people or fill one person heftily. It was A Good Morning indeed.

Eat here for breakfast but avoid the weekends as it is packed beyond belief. Order anything with bacon becasue the bacon is dreamy! Portions are big and prices are small...SCORE. The menu is like 2 feet long and many pages so there are countless combinations to satisfty your glutiny. The OJ is fresh squeezed and made to order but ask that they use oranges from the fridge otherwise your delicious OJ may be a little warm, yuk. Best restaurant staff in town, they are delightful and hard working. I try something new off the menu everytime I come here and I have yet to be disappointed. Enjoy!

Charming little breakfast/cafe place with fantastic muffins. Happened to check it out after getting lunch at the Pho VI place next store and A Good Morning had some of the best muffins I've had in a long time. Muffins were fresh and tasty, top was perfectly hard but not too hard, and the inside was perfect balance between fluffy and dense. They had banana nut (walnutes were fresh and hanging off the sides), blueberry, coffee cake (an original and tasty creation!), and choc chip which I did not try. Supposedly the owner makes the muffins herself every morning. A bit expensive ($1.65 each) but I think they are worth it. Bottom line: Not sure about the breakfast but worth checking out for the muffins!

The food here is great! The turkey mushroom avocado benedict I had got great flavor. The only thing I didn't like is the speed of the wait staff. Don't get me wrong, they are very friendly but at a busy restaurant like this the the food should never be cold.

They have really good hash here. Really recommend it. Only real draw back to this spot is the that it is small overall. All the tables are filled. Eventually, they will need to move to accomodate their success.

Great service, excellent food, friendly patrons. The Meat Lover's Omelet and the Cancun Omelet are my two favorites. The staff are also very accommodating when I request just fruit on the side. This will sound cheesy, but it really is " a good morning" after having breakfast here!

Wow! I'm pretty sure I've tried every brunch place and greasy spoon in the area, and I was very pleasantly surprised by A Good Morning. They focus on delicious classic breakfasts and it pays off... everything I tried (from bacon spinach benedict to country biscuits and gravy) were spot on. And great bottomless coffee! I will be back!

This place is one of me and my boyfriend's favorite place to eat breakfast. They have corn-beef and hash (the same one out of the can from my childhood that I could make for a dollar at home) which I absolutely must have once a week. I liked this place well enough before, but something has changed, and I really love it now. There are the cutest and sweetest gals working there who remember us every time we come in. I am a big fan of places that know what you like and the way you like it. Each time I come in now she asks if I will have my two pump vanilla latte, and makes a point to ask how it is each time. There is a wait sometimes as the place is small, but more times than not we go right in and sit down. I love it and you can find us there on the same day every week (just about). Yum!

Decent brunch place, but my heart always goes to Hobee's. That being said, I like this place, not sure if I love it. Great if you can find a seat inside, b/c it's on the small side. The service was really quick and brunch cost me about $11 including coffee and HUGE portions. But with the huge portions, don' t think I didn't notice I was given more hash browns than the actual egg dish I ordered. Yeah, I'm calling you out.

Good food, great service. The staff here are always super friendly. They aren't always rushing by when they are talking to you - even if they are extremely busy. They always make eye contact and a smile, makes you feel that they're really happy you're there even if it's completely packed inside. I say this because at other places, I've had servers checking out other tables, shouting orders to other coworkers, or are walking by as they mumble something to me...I guess I find that rude. The food is so-so, I'm a little pickier than most. I cook quite a bit, and like my breakfasts a little more fancy. But, if you're looking for your standard bacon, eggs, and toast. They do it wonderfully, and they do it fast. Great place to get a stress free, quick and simple breakfast.

My four stars are primarily based on the fact that I LOVE hashbrowns and they served me a plate that was exactly how I like them. The hashbrowns had a wonderfully crispy top layer with light and tender inside shredded bits. We showed up just after 9am on a Sunday which I have to say was very lucky because all the indoor tables were occupied by 9:30am. It was a cloudy morning so people were less willing to sit outside. I had the waffle with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs and bacon were nothing special. Crispier bacon would have been great. I'm wondering if I could have asked for green onions or a bit of cheese on my eggs. My husband's strawberry-banana fresh toast was yummy. I just want more hashbrowns.

I had breakfast here yesterday morning with my sister. Small busy place that has a good amount of outside seating though we sat inside since it was a little chill out in the morning. Wow is what I can say to the breakfast I had, it was really good. Both my sister and I had the breakfast that consisted of 2 waffles, ham and 2 eggs. This is actually the best breakfast I have had in a restaurant in a loooonng time. Waffles were not overly crunchy, ham was cooked/toasted just the way I asked with a little burnt action on it and the eggs were cooked perfectly the way I like them scrambled hard. I'm glad my sis introduced me to this little place.

They have an extensive breakfast menu that includes biscuits and gravy...I love biscuits and gravy! Now I didn't try them so I can't vouch for them, but I'm a fan of any breakfast spot that includes them on the menu! I also like egg white omelets and they definitely have that as well as egg substitute for those non-egg eaters out there!

I used to love coming here every weekend for more than year, but recently I've been frequenting other places because I miss the old waitstaff, who were much better than the newer morning weekend staff. This past weekend, I went back after a month or so of being away. I ordered my usual, the french toast and eggs, asking for potatoes instead of eggs. I've never had problems with this request before, but this time he waiter refused to make a substitution. I even added that I've ordered this before and had been a frequent customer for over a year. His response: "When was the last time you were here?" After a bit more banter, he grudgingly made the substitution and told me that I could have potatoes only if I also did not get the meat. If the old waitstaff came back, I might return, but until then I will not be frequenting this place much anymore.

There is a lot of good things to say about AGM. They have the best Benedict selection in town. They have some delicious hash browns. The breakfast Sandos are stellar. We never wait long for a table (I also dine early). The Coffee is great. All of the ladies working there are friendly and very good at their jobs. I do have one complaint about AGM though. I have had numerous issues with the taller male waiter. I have watched him screw up other customer's orders as well. I ask for well done, I get half raw. I ask for OJ and I get coffee. Basically any modification to my order is too much to comprehend and communicate accurately to the kitchen. He means well but it just seems like he is not cut out to be in the hospitality industry. If you take him out of the equation AGM gets 5 stars in my book any day.

My husband and I absolutely adore this place! We probably come 3-4 times a month. We love the family that owns the place - they are super nice and always know our names. I love that you can pretty much order anything in the world - the menu is huge!! My favorites are the french toast, chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream (every once in a while!!) and I also love the biscuits. It can get packed later in the mornings - so it's best to come before 9am.

Finally came here for brunch and it did not disappoint. Warning, there is going to be a wait (20 minutes at 2pm on Saturday) and there isn't a lot of seating. I'd say the place holds 20 inside and 10 outside. We got the Joe's Special and the Chicken Apple sausage with eggs. Both were excellent. I ordered an iced tea and it was ginormous. I mean, it was like a Big Gulp from 7-Eleven. I could have raised 3 colonies of sea monkeys comfortably. We completely cleaned our plates including the english muffins. I'm so coming back here again, but I have to be ready for that wait.

Ate here this morning as part of our quest to find the best breakfast place in the Sunnyvale/MV area. We were surprised at how small (and busy) the restaurant was, but were seated promptly. The server, who was barely able to speak English, came out to take our drink order, brought us our orange juice (fresh squeezed - YUM!), and then took our food order. I ordered a Spanish scramble, with a side of sour cream and wheat toast. I received a Spinach omelet with a side of cottage cheese and white toast. Yikes!!! The server didn't even understand that she'd made a mistake. I said "this isn't the Spanish scramble", and she said "yes, spinach." I had to ask for another menu, physically point to the item on the menu, and explain exactly what I wanted. Thankfully they got it right on the second try (and were really good about fixing the whole thing), and the food was worth the wait. OJ - 5 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 1 star We'll be back for the OJ & the food, and next time I'll use be sure to use visual references to the menu when I place my order.

    OK, even though the service is a little spotty, the people who work here are very nice and friendly, which really does count for something. The portions are big. The hash brown has no semblance of healthiness (just the way I like it). No real complaints besides the lack of seating and stellar service. Better coverage would bump this place up for me. (;

The sandwiches I have ordered from here always feel a little greasy to me, and taste kind of bland. I've only gotten lunch to-go orders here, and both times they were grilled sandwiches. The fries that come on the side, both times I came here, were undercooked and had that weird, slightly crunchy texture to them.

A good morning is a great place for breakfast. Way cheaper than most other places around and the food is pretty good. The food isn't anything fancy but it's cooked properly and tastes good. There is sometimes a wait on the weekends, but they work hard to keep it moving. Plus free coffee or oj with breakfast is always nice.

4.5 stars. This place seated us quickly, offered fast and friendly service, and the food was DELICIOUS. I've never had over-easy eggs cooked perfectly before - seriously I wanted to take a picture! I knock it half a star because of the ambiance. It just seemed a little cold and icky in there, but maybe that was due to the rain. Definitely a fan and will go here again!

OK breakfast place that opens a lot earlier than others in the area, so handy if you are looking for a real breakfast early and are sick of hotel buffets.

Summary: Good place for brunch. Also serves lunch. A friend and I went here on the recommendation of Yelp reviews. Friend had the Mexican omelet and was very happy with it. I had the Big Mamma scramble with sausage, onions, and peppers. The sausage was very tasty and made the scramble work. Both of our portions were huge (come hungry) and the price was fairly inexpensive at $11 all inclusive. The dishes come with a choice of hash browns or country potatoes. I ordered the country potatoes but they looked like big hash browns to me. The OJ is fresh squeezed and a good-sized portion even in the small. The coffee is a nice strong but not over the top brew. You can sit outside or inside. It was pleasant to enjoy the Summer outdoors while eating. Negatives: The ketchup is watered down Heinz :( The jam is Kraft. The service is a bit slow. They never came back to ask if we wanted more coffee (or anything). Instead they gave us the bill. Overall, good food, fair service. Great location. Worth checking out.

This place is just down the street from me. My wife and I come here with friends for brunch all the time. The parking is generally good, but there is usually a wait, sometimes a long wait. The atmosphere is very casual, I like to sit by the huge windows that they keep open on warm days. In the summer it's nice to sit outside. The service is ok, they're really nice but just busy and running around all the time. I like their Joe's Wife the best, which is an egg scramble with spinach and ground beef. The coffee here is ok. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Price: 4/5 Decor: 3/5

De- licious! Quick warning: if you are going on a weekend morning, prepare to wait! This place is pretty popular on weekends, so plan to either go a little early in the morning or in the afternoon to get seating within 10 minutes. It has been a tradition to go to A Good Morning every Sunday morning, and for the whole 2 years we have been going, we look forward to it every single Sunday. I recommend: Bacon and Avocado Omelette Golden Waffle French Toast The Spanish Omelette Try to avoid any of the chicken-apple stuff, we found it to be a little bland, and you don't want to ruin your first experience there.

I wanted to update my review based on a recent visit to this place. Not only does the food remain delicious, but they have REALLY made an effort to maximize the space and offer more seating. The recent renovations have REALLY Improved the seating space.

We ordered the Little Boy and the Bacon Avocado Omelette. The Little Boy was supposed to come with a slice of toast, and it didn't. My friends omelette had one tiny piece of avocado in it. The food itself was good, but when an order arrives incomplete, that is indication of a failure for me.

Just perfect! I've been here many times and the food is just awesome! They serve good portions for a reasonable price. The service is friendly, but can sometimes be difficult to comprehend what they say to you.

I visited this cafe for a weekday lunch. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had cheeseburgers - they were traditional and full of flavor. I recommend the side salad rather than chips. The chips are scrawny and not worth the calories!! I think the breakfast menu is served all day with omelettes going out to many tables. Remembering this cafe is in a neighborhood shopping strip, there aren't many tables and the service is rather casual - but what do you expect for the setting?

Oh, Good Morning, how I want to love you... This little cafe is walking distance from my house, and as I'm a fan of "breakfast out", is a natural place for me to return to. Sadly, I walked out disappointed each of the 3 times I've visited. Let me start with the good: the service is always prompt and courteous, and the place, much like Flo's Diner, keeps getting better every time I return. Over the past 18 months, they've spruced up the decor, created a rocking website, got new gleaming machines, and added high-end items on their menu (mm, lox...). Here's the problem: the food isn't good. On the most recent trip, my sister ordered pancakes, and I had the "burlingame scramble". The pancakes were heavy on the cinnamon, which my sister happens to hate. If only something was mentioned in the description of the dish, this flap-flop could have been avoided. My eggs were over-cheesed, under-seasoned, and if 3 eggs went into making the dish (as I believe the menu states), they must have been from a quail/chicken hybrid. No, I don't need a 3-egg + stuff dish to be full, but again, it's hard to be satisfied with a dish that doesn't match the menu's description. If you say "3 eggs", use 3 eggs, not 1.5! The red onions, which would have added a welcome texture and flavor note to the otherwise bland and mushy dish, were nowhere to be found. Perhaps they were sauteed into flavorless mush? There are quite a few breakfast choices in the area, none of them stellar. Since this one is closest to my house, and has such sweet staff, I keep rooting for them, and will likely return in another 6 months. Hope springs eternal...

Not sure what Jesse S.' problem is with this place, but upon looking at his reviews. 2 of his first 10 reviews he gave 5 stars to was Starbucks and In-n-out. Nuff said. Negative Nancy really needs to look himself in the mirror and wonder why people don't help him. I mean, c'mon dude. Every place you visited has totally shunned you. Hmmmm....wonder why??? Ok enough of Jesse (really dude, lighten up!). This place is a small hole in the wall breakfast joint. It has about a half dozen tables (give or take) inside and about the same outside. You need to get here early on a weekend, otherwise you will be s.o.l. and will be waiting a long time. I agree with other people, that this place is unorganized. The food itself is pretty darn tasty, though. I usually get the a standard eggs & bacon "American" breakfast and like my eggs medium, which they actually cook almost perfect (a little on the hard sometimes). *** LOL at Negative Nancy's (Jesse) reply to me. High standards?...pffft. You have a lot of negative experiences because you cause them. Again, look in the mirror, Nancy. You will see why people treat you bad. Do everyone in Mtn. View a favor and eat at home. ***

Great muffins! Best I've had so far. I had the chocolate chip one and they were generous with the choc chips. Crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside with melted choc chips. Yum... I'd go back just for these. Not expensive either, less than $2 each. LONG queue. Food... I've forgotten. Good I guess. Corned beef was like how mom made them :-p Go for the muffins!

ok 4 stars cause its hard to find a breakfast place open early in the area, we hit this place up once a month, tried some of the scrambles and always get the country potatoes, greasy and good (Mexican style country potatoes with peppers and onions!) my mates get the corn beef hash with regualr hash browns which is also solid. our other local spots are hobees and country gourmet. check em out.

The wife and I were up a little early Last Sunday morning and found that the bakery we were looking for was not open yet. We drove around a little a found "A Good Morning Cafe and Diner" open and ready for business. Nice location, the corner of San Antonio and El Camino. That was the last of the kind words for this establishment. The place is disorganized. There is clutter everywhere. Boxes and stuff stacked on top of every level surface. Nobody seems to have a set purpose or job. All the employees seat customers and everyone takes orders. As I see it, there isn't a hostess, servers with stations, assigned busers, nor an organized seating system. Service that morning was mediocre at best. Being a breakfast and lunch place only, I thought that the cooks would present a tasty, well prepared meal, was I wrong. I ordered an "Popeye" omelet with country potatoes. The omelet was a thin layer of egg with barely cooked veggies plopped in the center, then folded. It looked pregnant. The country potatoes were OK. The portions were average in size. The wife had bacon and scrambled eggs with has browns. The eggs looked like my omelet, just chopped up. Very dry and hard. The bacon was OK. The hash browns were the frozen kind, cooked on the flattop in oil or butter, the taste was blah. We used a lot of ketchup and hot sauce and even then had to leave some on the plate, not that we were full or satisfied. The pricing was on par with service and food quality, a little on the low side. I saw a lot of people going in and out of this place and many were greeted by name. Maybe a local hang out? I really couldn't see why people would return, but then again I go to a place like this near my office because it is close.

well I am not a fan of this place, and I will not be going back anytime soon. My parents and I just attempted to have breakfast here and it was a disaster. We waited for our food for over an hour and then it wasn't very good. My mom compared her waffle to an eggo frozen waffle and overall we were not impressed by the food and least impressed with the service or lack there of. I am not sure how eggs and an eggo waffle can take an hour to prepare but here it does. I would have much rather made my breakfast at home. The food would have been better and I would have been able to each much sooner!!!! I do not at all recomend this place, unless you have just finished a meal and have plenty of time to wait before you expect to eat.

I was disappointed with the food I got from here. I ordered the florentine eggs Benedict and I've had better eggs Benedict than from here. The hollandaise sauce was not special at all and their country potatoes were kinda funky. I'll come back and probably get a burrito or pancake but I'll say no to the eggs Benedict.

I should state that it is JUST A-ok. Since I went in mid morning on a Tuesday, the place was nearly empty with even tables open outside. I ordered a simple all American breakfast which at best was A-ok. The best part was that the bacon was thick and cooked crispy, the way I had asked. While the food was what you would expect for a diner, it was the lousy service that put me off. I had already read some Yelp reviews but wanted to see for myself since this is located convenient to home. I had to practically beg for a 2nd cup of copy, waving my arms to no prevail as the server looked elsewhere. I could see this kind of behavior if the place were full but to only have 3 tables inside, all single people at each table is simply ridiculous. I'll probably not go back simply because the service sucked.

After 69 reviews and 3.5 stars I was expecting a little more from A Good Morning. The food was hardly memorable and the ambiance was terrible. I like my breakfast with a little charm, but this place offered none. Good? Maybe. Great? Definitely not.

I work near by and we always call our order in ahead of time. You won't find a table at lunch time probably and it can get crowded...so take it to go if you can! I have always had really friendly service there. I love the chicken melt Mmmmmmmmm!

This place absolutely crushes it. My breakfast go to is the bacon, egg and cheese bagel. They use high quality bacon. Their other breakfast items are great, and lunch is very good too. I typically grab the club sandwich which is bomby. Also, they have free WiFi and the ladies are super sweet that work there. Hopefully no Box employees read this because it is close by their office and it already gets swamped for breakfast Saturday mornings

I went here with friends for breakfast. We put our name and party number and were seated. It took a bit for the waiter to come. When he did, my friend asked for coffee. The waiter said, "already?" That was weird. The service was okay. The lady coming around refilling coffee was vibrant. The menu has typos. The waiter asked me to repeat myself several times, but it's all good. The food was okay. It didn't "hit the spot." I had the good morning scramble. It was kind of dry and had little bacon. The orange juice was warm but I asked for ice.

I'll be completely fair and go into full details on why this place can afford to suck. This place gets VERY busy in the mornings, so busy that you often need to put your name on a list to eat here - that's gotta be a good thing right? Wrong. This is one of the only breakfast places in the area, so people come in from all the neighboring small towns. With so many people here, you have to pre-make and use frozen food which is what this place does. The food, nothing here except pancakes are fresh: Hash-browns - previously frozen and tasteless Ham - sour (it's going bad), tough, previously frozen French toast - pre-soaked, pre-sweetened, previously frozen bread Eggs, fried. - Couldn't do that right, it was poached and put in the grill for a few minutes. Does no one know how to properly fry a fucking egg? Sausages - standard store bought small links Bacon - standard, but inconsistently cooked. Sometimes it's very overcooked. Blueberries on pancakes - previously frozen as well unfortunately. Lost a lot of its flavor

Although there were decent reviews, this place didn't really impress. Let me start by saying there was good service, and the place has a nice atmosphere, but to me the most important part or a restaurant experience is the food, which i did not enjoy. I got an "All American", with the following options; 2 poached eggs. Country potatoes. Slice of grilled Ham. Brown bread. Orange juice. The 2 poached eggs were completely hard all the way through. The country potatoes were bland and mushy, even with salt added. The slice of ham had quite a bit of sinew. The brown bread was good. The orange juice didn't taste freshly squeezed as advertised (although still okay, albeit a bit too sweet compared to all other freshly squeezed). Overall I wouldn't go back again, because I wasn't impressed with the food.

Just down from our hotel, this was the closest breakfast place after a late night at the concert. There was a short wait, but we got a decent table outside. I went for the crab cake benedict, and it was fantastic. Great crab cake, slightly spicy hollandaise, perfect egg and muffin, good potatoes on the side. Super fresh OJ and great coffee. Sweetie had a build-your-own omelette with bacon and mushrooms. The bacon was stuffed inside, and delicious. I would definitely go back. There is a lot of interesting stuff on the menu. Service was good; prices were a bit high.

Recommendation: Incredibly fast and accommodating service. Really delicious eggs Benedict. I can't wait to go back and show my friends. Service: The service was really quite good. We walked into the restaurant and were immediately taken care of by a waitress who took us to our table outside on the patio. She wasn't happy with the slant the table was sitting on so she helped us move it to a more level surface. We took a look at our menus and gave our orders within minutes of sitting down, and (I'm not exaggerating) less than 5 minutes from taking our menus, she was delivering our meals. It felt as quick as ordering a sandwich from Jimmy John's. As we ate, the waitress came back frequently to check in and fill our glasses, and we were presented with our check soon after we finished eating as well. When I went inside to pay, the staff member operating the cash register was also chatty and enjoyable. In general, the service was speedy when it needed to be, attentive, and enjoyable. Food: I enjoyed my meal a great deal! I ordered the Lox & Capers Eggs Benedict with hash browns, and everything in the meal was great. In terms of presentation, the plate left me salivating. I've never seen such appetizing eggs, and while I'm not one to enjoy hash browns, they looked well-cooked and ready to be mixed into the egg yolk. After diving into the meal, I have to say the taste lived up to the heavenly appearance. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the yolks were lovely and drippy. The English muffins were fresh and crisp, and the lox and capers were delicious mixed into everything. Normally I'm not filled by an egg and an English muffin, but this meal was surprisingly filling! The hash browns were also excellent; freshly cooked, not greasy at all, and generally a great complement to the more fluid remains of the Eggs Benedict. I have to say, it was a brunch experience to remember! Environment: I can't comment too much on the environment, as I didn't have a great look at the interior. From what I remember, it seemed bright but a little cramped. We sat outside, where there were a few wrought iron round tables for guests. It was on a slanted surface so it wasn't perfectly level, but our waitress helped us move it to something more stable and flat. There wasn't any noticeable music playing outside. Conclusion: Maybe it was the perfect weather, maybe it was the service, or maybe it was the food. Something clicked, and the meal at A Good Morning was absolutely phenomenal.

I love breakfast foods. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. As for this place, I have had it bookmarked and luckily we were in the area. We were definitely in the brunch mood and this place was exactly what we were looking for. Located in a busy plaza, the parking situation can be a little challenging, but so worth it. The service is super fast and efficient so our drinks and food came out with the quickness. As for our food we each decided to do breakfast. I ordered the hot mama which is Cajun sausage with tons of fresh veggies and breakfast potatoes and the bf got the spicy Mexican Benedict which came which was a typical Benedict but with onions, jalapeños, avocado and chorizo. Both of our meals were very tasty and pretty filling. Overall, if you want a hearty breakfast then definitely check this spot out.

My best friend absolutely loves this place. It's a small restaurant with inside and outside seating next to Dittmer's Meats. It's a traditional family style restaurant with a huge variety on their menu. An easy stop for breakfast or lunch with great customer service, and a good variety of breakfast, sandwiches, and salad type things. Pricing is great as well.

Walked in for Sunday breakfast. Waited about 10-15 minutes to get seated... Had enough time to look at the menu that's posted outside and decide on my food. Ordered my breakfast as soon as I was seated, food took forever to arrive. Super slow for food to come out! Maybe the owners should add a cook and waitress! Once the order arrived, food was good, not out of this world, but decent and cooked on point. Came in at 9:10 got seated right away. This is my go-to place for weekday mornings. Nice outdoor seating. I'm a regular. Weekends it's super busy, just like every breakfast restaurant out there.

Service was pretty okay, Food mediocre. Nothing stood out as particularly tasty, though seemed to be cooked perfectly. For example, the hash browns were nice and crispy but had absolutely no flavor. Corned beef hash seemed like it came from a can. Waffles, no flavor, syrup tasted like Outlet center imitation maple syrup. ugh. Poached eggs were cooked okay!

  • Elaine N.

How hard is it to make easy breakfast food mediocre to bad? The folks here, although friendly, know how to do it. I first ordered a Benedict breakfast that was promptly delivered, but with a watered-down hollandaise that ruined it. The hash-browns tasted like a cheap version in the grocery store's freezer section. They forgot to bring me silverware, so had to get up and ask. I couldn't finish the Benedict, so ordered a single blueberry pancake because, how can that not taste good? Well, it was surprisingly bland, as it was a plan pancake, overly cooked, in need of re-heating, and yet had only few shriveled blueberries on top. REALLY?!? I so wanted to like this place because of its location, and I'm looking for a regular breakfast spot. Alas, I need to keep searching and recommend others do the same. The only positive was that the staff was nice enough.

3.5 stars. Great food, but slooowwww to arrive. We've done Saturday morning breakfast here a few times and the place is always packed. Not sure what it's like on a weekday, but if you come on a weekend be prepared to wait about 10 minutes for a table, then even longer for your food. Menu is great and reasonably priced for Los Altos. I am a fan of the healthy eaters or 'light fare' menu, which has some really great options. In addition to traditional american breakfast items, they also offer lunch items like salads, sandwiches and burgers. Definitely something for everyone. Unfortunately, A Good Morning really falls short on service and speed. They really need to beef up their staff because waiting over 40 minutes for eggs is totally unacceptable. The food is great, but waiting so long for it really sucks.

Good morning! Good morning! The name of this place is so cute! My friend and I came here for brunch after a long run and we were in need to some protein to refuel ourselves! They have plenty of outside seating but it was a bit windy outside, so we opted to sit inside. Being a Saturday, it was pretty busy, but we probably didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a table. They had a pretty extensive breakfast menu - lots of omelets, scrambles and benedict choices, plus waffles and french toast. They also had a breakfast burrito that sounded good. I ended up ordering the veggie omelet, which had mushrooms, onion, tomato, bell peppers, and AVOCADO. It came with a side of seasoned country potatoes and toast. The omelet and the country potatoes were pretty good. Service was fine - our server got us water and took our order and our food came out relatively quickly. You pay your check at the cash register. While I was paying, I noticed that the pastries in the display case and there was a green muffin - I asked the lady what kind of muffin it was and she said it was pistachio and that it was really delicious. If I wasn't so full from my omelet, perhaps I would've tried it - it sure sounded tasty.

I'm not a picky eater and I'm one of those benedict/scramble/omlette types that doesn't doesn't care about the calories if there's good brunch food :P A Good Morning Café is located in a plaza with several other restaurants; the first time I came with the guy friend, there was ample parking. This past Saturday at 2pm was a different story; the lot was pretty full. Luckily, the lot isn't small. When you first walk in, you might have to look around to try to catch someone's attention and be seated...I do agree with some of the reviews; it's a little difficult to tell who's in charge and who can seat you. I haven't had any big issues with services both times I've visited and this past Saturday, there was a guy wearing white who kind of seemed like he was a manager. It kind of sucks that Kie H. had a bad experience, but they might be trying to turn things around. The place isn't big; there's a couple tables for 2 or 4 inside, but they also have the patio, where it might make sense to sit if you're here with a larger group. You can have them combine tables for you. It was a little windy when we were seated, so we were trying to turn on the heat lamp. The guy that I referenced above wearing white saw us and came out to turn it on for us. I got the Mexicali benedict (I think that's what it was called...not sure, since the link to their website on Yelp doesn't work). I was definitely struggling to choose between the benedict and one of their scrambles that had chorizo in it, haha. They have a good selection of items on the breakfast menu -- scrambles and omlettes that you can also build your own, pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, etc. They also have sandwiches and burgers in the back of the menu. My girlfriend and I both got benedicts, the guy friend got a scramble (it must have been good cuz he finished it off pretty fast), and my gf's bf got a breakfast burrito. That thing was GINORMOUS. I think next time I'll go with a breakfast burrito...seemed like a great value! It was really stuffed with a lot of items.

Food is decent but service can be hit or miss here. Came here with the family for a Sunday morning brunch, and they ended up completely forgetting my sister in law's breakfast....when we brought it up they brought her out some hash browns and eggs and said they would bring the lox scramble out soon...which she then had to remind them wasn't what she ordered. I can appreciate people trying to make things right, but honestly if you're not sure just ask don't just assume. Other than that, coffee is decent here, and the food is good for the price. It's just the service is bit of a crapshoot...

BEST PANCAKES EVERRR (I'm not even a pancake kinda person)! We had a lovely time here recently one weekend. You can say, it was definitely "A Good Morning" (well actually, afternoon; I love sleeping in on weekends). I ordered one of their scrambles with just egg whites and it came with their house potatoes. I also got myself one of their Honey Wheat pancakes on the side (extra carbs, yum!). I would have to say the portions are HUGE but JUST ENOUGH. Meaning those of you who like to binge-eat or gorge (I used to), this ain't the place for you. Now onto how that pancake tasted: -Heavenly!!! -Pillowy-fluffiness -Not too dense -Just perfection Oh yes, and their decaf coffee was on point! They even have packets of Truvia there, which is a great option for us fitness-lifestyle fanatics. I definitely wanna come back here and try their waffles and the YUMMY burgers they had pictured on the menu.

This Cafe provided the best breakfast we had while in California! We walked down the street from our hotel seeking coffee and Yelp suggested this restaurant. We started our meal with the best fresh squeezed orange juice, the only real juice we had while we were on the trip! We enjoyed the fluffy pancakes with blueberries very much! We will stop here again!

there's nothing like being able to slow down in the morning to enjoy the coming day. this place serves a pretty solid American style breakfast. I usually get the #1 special. the portion size is more than enough for me and the added fresh-squeezed orange juice is a nicely added touch. weekends are usually packed, so expect a bit of a wait.

This is a good place for brunch. I like all of their Benedict options and omelettes. The potatoes are a hit or miss. Sometimes they are delicious, but other times they are way too salty or under-cooked. I like the service. The staff is always friendly and relatively quick. The truth is, I probably wouldn't come here if it wasn't so close to home because there is nothing that great about the fare. However, if you are looking for a traditional breakfast / brunch, this is going to a good bet.

The breakfast food is consistently good, haven't tried their lunch items, but seeing what comes out of the kitchen looks great. American style dishes made by cooks and served by waitresses who can barely speak or understand English.

Only reason there is ever a line is because they can't bring out the food fast enough. I'm looking around now and see that only about 50% of the customers have their food. It's been about 45 minutes since I ordered for a party of two and no food yet.... I feel sorry for the slew of ppl at the door who are going to have to wait for us to get our food and then wait for their own orders. To top it off the waitresses haven't even come by to see if we need anything else to drink durin the wait. We finished our sour orange juices 30 minutes ago. So many delicious and better breakfast brunch places around. Don't bother.

I have been to this restraunt around 5 times and every time is the same. The service is not very friendly or attentive, the food always has no salt and is either over done or under cooked. My over easy eggs last time were over medium and the waitress just huffed when I told her. I would not recommend this place to anyone I cared about.

Food was greasy and ranked in top 10 of worst service ever. Woman taking our order didn't even look at us, never checked on us and only spoke to us when we were given the wrong check. Definitely will never go back.

breakfast for lunch kind of day...small greasy spoon diner...dull interiors, but outdoor patio seating better...various breakfast combinations...probably a selection for any hunger...taking an all american $8.99...choice of meat and taking sausage links...four pinky sized links provided...eggs over easy...having white toast and plenty of jam packets to smear...hash browns instead of country potatoes...drink included also...coffee, tea or orange juice...taking the fresh squeezed orange juice...hash browns are bit greasy..browned, but bit soggy soft...lacking crisp outer...toast, eggs and sausage are typical of what you find at the market...nothing special...orange juice was good...for $11.50 total after tax and tip, it's still a safe choice on lazy mornings when you rather be served...

Came here for the first timE ever. We got here around 915am on a Sunday morning, got an outdoor seat on a nice day. I got the traditional Sunny side up eggs, corn beef hash, with toast. When the food got here, I was sad to see that the yolk was broken and the other was overcooked. If you love sunny sideup eggs, you know what I am talking about. I was a little upset at first, until we told the waiter about it. She apologized for the cook and offered to give me a new one. Overall, nothing special...but I think I will be back as the service is pretty good.

Got great Crab cake Benedict for brunch, everything was made to my liking. Fast service, nice ambience. Freshly squeezed OJ. The best brunch place in the area I encountered so far.

Came here for breakfast on a Monday morning (7am). Coffee not so good: tasted a bit burnt, like it had been sitting in the pot for too long. Good ham, egg, and cheese croissant though. Service was also good: fast and efficient.

Went there for a Sunday brunch, got seated within 10 minutes...so not so bad. Problem is after we got seated, we had to wait for 10 minutes to get our menu and our drinks ordered. Then another 30-40 minutes of wait after our food arrived. I ordered corn beef has eggs benedict which the yolk on one of the eggs was completely cooked! And there was very little corn beef. Anyhow, I just can't believe how slow they were, it was almost impossible to get a hold of someone to order our food, get the check, etc. Very frustrating experience and will never come back again!

Throughly unimpressed! It took me over 1 hour to get my good and I was by myself. I ordered oj fresh and it was served warm in a hot glass at the same time as my food. Say for 20 minutes before anyone noticed me. Very overpriced for breakfast. 12$ for eggs and bacon meal! Everyone seems really stressed out working here like the need more management and servers. I ordered the lox Benedict and the hollandsie sauce was so lemony it was overbearing ..... Not impressed for Cost and no comfy seating they could use cushions on the outside chairs

I've been hearing lots of raves about this breakfast/brunch place that I was so excited to finally get to check it out this morning. The place was not crowded but there were quite a few diners (about 1/3 of the restaurant) when I arrived. I browsed the menu, some of the items were a bit pricey for breakfast but there were fair prices on the basic regular breakfast items like my french toast and egg combo was $8.95. My complaint is that my food didn't come until about 25 minutes after I placed my order. I did notice that other customers who got there before me also had to wait quite a bit before getting their food. I glanced at the kitchen (it's an open kitchen) and did notice there was only one cook, so maybe that's why it was slow? or maybe it was just a slow start of the day? Anyway.. I didn't get blown away with their french toast, but it was quite a basic breakfast item, so really nothing to rave about. But certainly, I felt very disappointed that I had to spend a lot more time than I expected dining at the restaurant just because the kitchen was slow. I'll be back to give it another try and will get other items... hopefully will get a better experience.

Thanks to yelp, again i found this place. Very small and crowed .. always a wait for Sunday Brunch but it all worth it. Food was Delish and service was nice.. It takes a while for the food to come out since their kitchen is very small, but they manage.. will definitely come back

This isn't the best breakfast place I've ever been to, but it does the job. My friend insisted on going out, and I am on a diet of sorts, so we compromised on breakfast because thank goodness they still make eggs! I thought the menu was pretty reasonable. Lots of good selections for breakfast, mostly carb-tastic. I was happy to find oatmeal, and that they put all the toppings on the side. I also asked for four scrambled egg whites and one sunny side up egg ... to which the waitress looked at me, asked if it was all for me, and said "you must be hungry!" Does she not understand 1 egg white = 17 calories, therefore even 4 egg whites does not = one eggs benedict?! Anyway .... the point is, judgment aside, it did it the job. I probably wouldn't come back again unless for some reason I was really into their greasy greasy food. Which, their normal stuff is totally greasy. But hey. Long live egg whites!

I am so glad I found this nice little breakfast/brunch place close to my home. They have a wide selection of items in their menu. I tried the sausage jack egg benedict and my husband tried one of the omelets, both were great and filing. Plenty of indoor as well as outdoor seating. I like the fact that they serve breakfast all day which is perfect for my weekends when I usually wake up late. Great place.

Well priced (around $16 a person after tax/tip) good breakfast spot. Orange juice is fresh squeezed and they can make fancy coffee if that's your thing. The scrambles and omelettes are delicious.

Cook does not do a good job if cooking eggs to order. Ask for eggs to be over medium but the whites were runny. Took 10 minutes to get credit card returned by food server. Slow to offer coffee refills.

  • Alex K.

I wish I loved this place. The idea of it is wonderful, but every time I've gone I've been so disappointed. The service is always so slow and the food is extremely dry (tuna melt especially... tasted like they dumped canned tuna onto a piece of bread and called it a day). The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because their fresh squeezed orange juice is to die for! So if you go, don't bother with the food but just order a glass of orange juice. In all honesty, don't bother with this place since there are so many other amazing breakfast places around like Hobbees, Original Pancake House, Rick's, etc.

Previously I have encountered a good morning breakfast at this spot a couple of times, but on this particular day; it was a bad morning. Ordered the big country breakfast and it was not too my liking, I didn't finish the plate. I usually think ok maybe next time don't order this plate. I go to pay and due to the quality of my food I do not add a tip of a measly 25 dollar receipt. The cashier looks at me like I committed one of the 5 deadly sins. And she says no tip? And then she responds wow. Before this I enjoyed this spot but now due to the hostility of the cashiers never again.

Food is just ok. Service could be better. I prefer Rick's cafe in Los Altos .. Baji's cafe in Mtn View or Crepevine over this place. eggs benedict was good but scrambled was not at all good... Cappucino had bad froth and the staff was okay when we sat down but overall service is below par. I wouldn't go there unless all other places are closed.

Giant pancakes! One order of buttermilk pancakes was two huge and fat pancakes that I couldn't finish! The fruits are fresh, pancakes are good but not impressive. I was there around 11 on a Sunday and there was a 20 mins wait or so.

Decent place for brunch in the Los Altos area. I ordered the turkey, mushroom, and avocado benedict. All the food here is definitely on the blander side. It could use a bit more seasoning and sodium, although I guess that means it's relatively healthy... Service was not the best, we had a problem with a lot of our orders. Sides and options getting mixed up, beverage orders were forgotten, and it took a long time for everything to come out. We were the last customers to be seated that day. They had to close earlier than usual, something wrong with their bathroom...

More of an OK or just-good-enough morning. I like the food and coffee - it will satisfy your brunch desire. But in a couple of visits, the staff has been slow and unenthusiastic. There are not a lot of tables. I was unlucky to get stuck next to the door on two chilly mornings (chilly for the Valley at least).

I love this place, they have the best breakfast and their eggs Benedict selections are amazing. There is usually about a 20 minute plus wait on the weekends for brunch but it's definitely worth it.

Service as good. Breakfast burrito was big and cheap, and tasted like a typical breakfast burrito. My husband got a steak and eggs I think and it was lack luster - not bad but nothing special.

We had a terrible experience here--amazingly awful. We woke up Saturday morning, ready to drive to Big Basin Redwoods State Park to do some hiking. We needed some sustenance before this long hike so we found this joint on Yelp and followed suit. We didn't decide if we would eat there or just take it to-go--it just depended on the restaurant setting and how we'd feel upon arrival. When we opened the door, all the tables were full (sort of). For instance, there would be tables against the wall that could fit 6, but 1 person would be sitting there and I guess it would be awkward with too much effort for the host to seat strangers next to strangers. Because of that layout, it was not conducive to us dining in. That's the first strike. So since the tables were "full," we just thought, "alright, we'll get something to-go." So the to-go menu is different from the dine-in menu which was a little disappointing, but whatever. We ordered 2 sandwiches and waited. Others arrived after us, who were seated outside. They arrived and ordered after us, but still got their food first. What? Whenever that happens, you should be pissed. It was a huge party too. That's strike 2. When the stern-looking, tall Vietnamese male host gave us our to-go order, we took it and left promptly, already annoyed. As we walked the door, he says, "wait hold on, I gave you the wrong order." So we walked around and had to wait a little longer for the incompetent worker to fix this issue. That's strike 3. We ate the sandwiches in the car during the 1-hour ride to the state park. Would do you know, the order was wrong. Strike 4. This place is terrible and the management is super poor. There's no wonder why the ratings are low and I highly recommend avoiding this place unless you want bad service and disappointment. A Bad Morning Cafe.

Nothing special really. On arrival it was very busy, 11am Sunday is brunch time for sure. I was seated quickly and after telling the waiter I would like coffee and water, I was then asked 3 more times if I wanted a drink. The food arrived quickly...and tasted ok. The hash brown was large but not evenly cooked and so parts felt under done. The so called 3 eggs scrambled was more like 1.5 eggs and was too bland for my liking. I'm not sure they made them with milk, so that's probably why. Busy place and food was edible but nothing special in my view. If you want breakfast and are nearby you could do worse, just don't make a special trip across town to call in.

Had a full breakfast here this past weekend. For $12, I got all I wanted in one dish: Corned Beef Hash, Hash Browns, 2 Eggs, 2 Sourdough toasts, Bacon, and Sausage. Can't be that. IHOP eat your heart out.

Decent place. The meats were a bit greasy (sausage/bacon). The waffle wasn't fluffy, a bit tough and not chewy. Thin waffles. Price was about 12 for waffles and a side of eggs and meat. When I left my clothes smelled of oil and fried food... Not a good feeling.

I understand what it means to be curt in the morning; it's the morning! But when I come in with a smile on my face at 7:03am on a Sunday and there's no one else there, why cant I get a smile instead of the hostess turning her back and saying, "Anywhere." Maybe service is dead around here but I expect the first person to meet me at the door to make me feel like they are lucky to have me there. Instead, it felt like I should be lucky I have somewhere to eat. She looked a bit busy but why should I feel like a pain in the ass? You may not speak terrific english but crack a smile and say, 'hi' or it's not a good morning. Once seated everything was fine: food, service, ambiance, TV channel selection, and the other patrons were okay. I had the breakfast sampler. It was on par with Denny's but I like Denny's. It's traditional American Food made without a single white person, like Denny's. It doesn't matter; it's just kinda funny. Especially when all 19of20 patrons in here are white. Would it look strange to walk into a pho restaurant and all the employees were white? I would still trust the food but I just think it's funny.

Live nearby but for some reason, always bypassed it. So glad we decided to give it a try recently, when we were looking for a different spot for brunch! They have a fantastically diverse menu, including a great kids one. Service was great, food was fresh and yummy. Only downside to me is that it can get pretty crowded inside and the seating set-up is not super comfortable or open, but the outside patio seating is a lovely addition. We also went back for lunch on another day to see whether their claims of "best burger" lived up to the hype - and surprisingly, the burger was very, very good. I would venture to say that this little mom-and-pop shop makes a better burger than big gourmet chain The Counter across the street!!!

We were looking for a breakfast place to try out this morning. Food is ok, nothing extraordinary about it. Orange juice is really fresh and good. When ordering the OJ, make sure to mention large or small size, otherwise, they will just hand you the large size without mentioning this to you. Ambiance, okay .... My husband wasn't impressed w/this place. Would I come back to this place again? Maybe not.

  • Yuri L.

Place looks good on the outside. Food is below average. Normally, I would never give a one star rating, but this places deserves it. Waiters don't even try to do better. Coffee came black, no creme, no sugar. Waited for the check for about half an hour. Very difficult to communicate with Waiters who do not speak English.

    (1)
  • Jennifer E.

The food was fine (not great). However, the memory that stands out the most from this place is the INSANELY long wait. They have too many seats in this place, and it results in waiters having too many tables, taking too long to bring food and checks out, and then there's a crazy line outside. NOT. WORTH. IT. I will never ever ever come back.

    (2)
  • Flora C.

The outdoor seating looked inviting but I don't care for the flying dust and traffic added onto my plate. So, I moved inside. Food was not bad. Service was good.

  • Alexander P.

I have been here quite a few times, but mostly stuck with the Mexican eggs benedict, which has always been great. I have no idea about the other menu items, but it seems like it should definitely be a notch above the standard fare. I would give a higher rating for this place, but the service is just way to slow. The only other option I can think of for breakfast in the same location, quality of food, and price range would be Crepevine in downtown Mountain View, although I think Crepevine is better.

    (4)
  • Jessica M.

I love this place. Breakfast is served fall day and they have an extensive eggs Benedict menu plus coffee options including mocha too. Be prepared to wait a bit but it's worth it unless you are comfortable with sitting outside. As for the heater outdoors to be lot and it's not too bad.

I'm so conflicted about this place. On the one hand, I love that they serve brunch foods so late. The manfriend and I have come here several afternoons, laid out our NYT Sunday edition on a table, and brunched and read for hours. They have a varied menu, with tons of breakfast and lunchy options, so that's nice. Also, the wait staff are all very sweet. My qualms: - The mimosas are weak, BRIGHT orange, and SUPER fizzy, which makes me think they're made with orange soda. - He ordered a NY steak & eggs - he got a country fried steak. - I ordered a fruit salad - it came with a big black hair and bit of tomato in it. - I ordered a chicken caesar salad - it came with a chunk of ground beef in it. - I ordered a chicken breast sandwich - it had a piece of fish (or something??) in it. So... the food tastes ok, but I really worry that it's cross-contaminated. But since Country Gourmet down the street closed, I'm just lost as to where to spend my Sunday brunch/newspaper reading time.

Scrambles are good. Hashbrowns are horrible. Ingredients: 1/2 uncooked potato 1/2 oil candied onto the outside. I thought it was hard to really mess up hash brows...apparently not. Not impressed with the service, either.

I was looking for a breakfast place to hit up after my interview and I drove by it while heading back to Palo Alto from Milpitas via El Camino Real. I saw the huge banner that says "Best Burgers" but I figured it had breakfast foods due to the name of the restaurant. I parked and went in. It's got both indoor and outdoor seating. A little bit of a diner feel to it. Because it was mid morning, there was still plenty of room, so I sat down at a table near an outlet so I could charge my phone (super handy). The waitress came by and dropped off a menu and a glass of water. This menu is huge as it has both breakfast and lunch food. It's also pretty extensive; anything and everything you could want for either meal. It was super hard to choose! I ended up choosing granola and yogurt and fruit. It was very delicious and filling! And the mimosa was a perfect balance. I really liked the freshness of the OJ too. Best of all, my waitress was super kind and asked me about my interview, how it went, and if I had any more. All in all, a great place and somewhere I want to visit again.

I am convinced the people that work at this place has no idea what they are doing. I ordered breakfast one morning and when I came to pick up, they had given my order away to someone else. I figured ok it's a busy Saturday morning so it's understandable. This morning, I called at 6:30 when they opened to order 2 items. When I came to pick up, she only gave me one item!!!! I didn't have time to wait so I left with one order. When I got home, guess what?!!!! She gave me a completely different item but had charged me for the expensive item that I originally ordered?! Wth? It's early, there were only 2 other customers in there, how do you mess up totally incompetent! Never again. Next time I'll go to Brian's or Rick's in Los Altos. Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!

My boyfriend and I came here on a lazy Sunday noon for brunch! We both got an eggs benedict (I got classic and he got corned beef). The coffee was really satisfying but our food took kinda long until the coffee started to go lukewarm... Our server apologized for the food being late (we didn't complain) but still gotta take one star off for the waiting time. :[ The food itself was good though! The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was good. The english muffin was thin and a bit hard to cut through, but other than that, it was a very good breakfast. Probably going to come back here for brunch again :)!

Aww this is the kind of cute, family-owned, reliable and friendly brunch-y comfort food place that you go to with a book and your thoughts and some time to relax. The place is small with only a few tables, but is clean and bright. The menu is extensive, offering up a huge selection of breakfasty staples, sandwiches, burgers, pastries, etcetera. Service is super friendly but slow when they're busy. You can see the one guy making all the food so you know it's fresh and made to order. Portions are generous and prices are very very reasonable, most things around 8-10 dollars. While I might not 100% agree with their sign outside advertising the best local burger, it's not too shabby. The patty is seasoned well, but is a little gristly, and no matter what you tell them it'll come out well done. Regardless, it's a big burger and there are lots of add ons (grilled pineapple!!!) and the toasted buns are quite excellent. All in all, a solid little place for a casual hearty meal. No frills, no pomp, just simple standard satisfaction. I'm sure many good mornings started right here.

It appears to be a family owned cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. Unassuming little place that has seating both inside and outside. It has lots of large windows so it is very well lit. Located off San Antonio / El Camino Real in the Village Court Shopping Center. We were there for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and found that the menu is pretty extensive given such a small place. They have your standard breakfast items including pancake, waffles, scrambles, omelets, benedicts, oatmeal, sandwiches and even burritos. For lunch it looks like they have a variety of chicken, fish and beef burgers to choose from. I got the Good Morning scramble which includes eggs, spinach, onion, tomato and came with hashbrowns and two pieces of toast. Everything was well prepared. My friend got the French toast special that comes with two pieces of bacon and one egg which my friend said were good. Next time I go there I might have to try one of their breakfast sandwich. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Will definitely be back and will recommend to my friends in the area.

Interesting - an American breakfast place definitely opened by Asians. The result? A pretty good American brunch, at value volumes, but nothing really spectacular or avant garde. Nonetheless, the service here is attentive and friendly. A good local place to go for brunch. Come casual, don't trouble with a large crowd as you will have trouble getting seating, and expect good service. Tip: Dog friendly.

Not sure about this one yet. I've started a job near here so I'm going to give it another shot. The menu looks great. My service that day was okay. I can see that the regulars definitely get a little more attention. Maybe I had high expectations because the banner outside said "best local burger". I had one and it was good but not great. Maybe I'll try a different one next time. One bad thing for me was that they don't have fresh mustard. They have those little packets of old thick mustard. This is unfortunate for me because not only do I like mustard on my burger, but also with my fries. I had to open like a dozen little sharts of mustard for my fries. I'll be going back. Be ready for an update. I went back and had a really good chicken corn salad with black beans and onions. Lettuce was fresh and crisp and the chicken was very tender. I'll be going back.

Came here late on Sunday about 1230ish and it was still crowded. We ended up waiting for 25 minutes or so. This is your simple hole in the wall breakfast joint with standard food choices (waffles, omelettes and egg dishes, pancakes etc.). I ordered the chorizo scramble with hash browns and toast. This was pretty good. He ordered the french toast and a scramble. French toast was good, standard. The portions were ok. Food was good, nothing out of the ordinary though. Service was ok. Good place for breakfast, but nothing special.

Came here for lunch and had the smokehouse burger (bacon, onion rings, and barbecue sauce). The patty was VERY tasty, cooked with some seasoning and I'm assuming bits herbs. It was also quite large/thick so expect your hands to get a little dirty. Kind of an pleasant surprise for a cafe that calls itself "Good morning." It seemed more like a diner. The wait time was a little long though, so I wouldn't recommend coming for a "quick lunch." Yelp had a check-in deal for a free appetizer, but unfortunately I was too tap-happy and redeemed it before asking the waitress if there were appetizers on the lunch menu, which there weren't :(. I kind of wish they had offered to give something else instead? The offer didn't specify that it was only applicable for dinner. Well, next time I know.

This was from awhile ago but I decided I wanted breakfast for lunch so I came here. They are pretty busy even at noon! I ordered hashbrowns OF COURSE because they are delicious here and then a breakfast burrito with sausage. The burrito wasn't that bad, but I think they use pasteurized cheese (similar to Kraft cheese slices) inside. The taste quality of the burrito would be a lot better if they used real cheddar cheese. I've had other items from the menu and they were a lot more tasty than the burrito.

I hate driving far for anything, even picking up my cousin from school cause my relatives were out of town... I was rushing to Los Altos on an empty stomach, soo hungry.. Yelped "good food" and up pops A Good Morning! This place is such a little hidden gem in the heart of Los Altos. Located on a corner lot with patio benches and long curtains really gives this place a cute vibe. Sitting outdoors gave us fresh air while enjoying an all American brunch. Plus for the heat lamps too! The service was beyond excellent, very attentive waitresses. I never had to ask for a refill or condiments. Food was solid and on point, def. hit the spot since I was starving! We order a lot for 3 people so we had to take some togo. I usually don't like to pack food since we don't touch it afterwards, but the French Toast was soo yummy (reminds me of Vegas French toasts at the Cosmo, soo delics!) that I had the rest for late night dessert. Now I normally don't drive far for food, but if I'm around, I'll def. be coming back! Thumbs up! :)

Seems like a decent breakfast place... (Generally, I'm more of a lunch person, though, and lunch is what I had at Good Morning) Anyway, I was gonna grab a sammich for lunch at Dittmer's next door, but Good Morning's giant "Best Local Burgers" sign caught my eye, and I veered away to try 'em out. The place seems to have a decent location, pretty clean and probably recently remodeled. The menu had a decent selection, definitely leaning heavily towards breakfast. The food was mediocre. Not terrible, but hardly delicious, and a far cry from [probably self-proclaimed] "Best Local Burgers!!" The biggest undoing was the service. The couple of waitresses that helped us out during lunch seriously needed to get a clue. They don't know anything about what's on their own menu... we literally had to spell things out for them! The disappointing service continued to be the theme of our lunch... for example, I'm usually forgiving when my drink order gets mixed up... it happens all the time, right? But when she was getting me (and only me) a soda refill, she asked what I had, walked six feet to the soda machine, and immediately brought me back a different soda? I appreciated the quickness, but was completely baffled at her lack of attention!

I like finding an excellent breakfast place just so I can get out of making breakfast. And so, I was eager to check out this cafe. It wasn't over the top but ok for a quick place to get an egg or two, or whatever. Didn't impress me to the point that it's a place I think of right off to go for breakfast for my neck of the woods. Guess it's just not my cuppa. But then again, realize typically for breakfast, I'm making it myself. Service was very fast but not overly friendly. I like feeling at ease when I eat breakfast, a lazy sort of -- I don't wanna cook but I'm happy you're cooking for me & feeling like you're happy to have me over for breakfast...didn't quite feel that way here.

So here's my first experience with this cafe... It was a bad first experience. Got a table. They forgot to take my order. Had to wait for more than 30 minutes. The food was ok. I ordered pork chops with country potatoes and sunnyside eggs. Nothing great. I've had a better pork chop somewhere else. I will try it one more time and decide from there if this place is worth driving to for brunch or not.

While visiting some family in the Los Altos area, my mom and I walked over from our hotel (the Courtyard by Marriott) for a late breakfast. My aunt suggested this place, which is really only open for breakfast and lunch, and even on a Monday, it was rather busy! I hadn't eaten all morning, so I ordered a generous portion of stuffed french toast, while my mom just got a bowl of oatmeal. There were times when I found it hard to flag down a server; the reason being that there were so few of them who were juggling counter service and table service at the same time, but I have to hand it to them for being such hard workers. The most important part? The food really hit the spot, so if I'm ever staying at that Courtyard on a future trip to the area, I'd come back for breakfast, and if you do, it's well worth the walk!

A Good Morning Cafe is our favorite breakfast place! My husband and I are frequent weekend customers. If you like Eggs Benedict this is the place and their hash browns are good because they make it crispy. They also have good scrambled eggs, omelettes and pancakes. They only down fall to coming here on the weekend is that it is ALWAYS crowded and the wait can be anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes and sometimes it does delay getting food out. But on a normal day they are pretty fast! We love this place so we always try to get in early because "the early bird gets the worm"!

Amazing breakfast. Excellent fresh squeezed orange juice. Bottomless coffee...just try and finish it before they refill your cup! Great, friendly service. They open early...get over here for breakfast as soon as you get a chance, seriously. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, just a heads up.

I hate to say it, but this place has gone downhill. We went yesterday for brunch and didn't have a great experience. 1. We had to wait in line and put our name on a list when there were tables open and ready. When i tried to point that out, I was told to put my name on the list (which I already had) and then was sat at that same open table 5 minutes later. 2. the food was not nearly as good as it has been in the past - i got the egg, bacon and cheese croissant sandwich which I used to RAVE about - the bacon was not crispy and very fatty. The country potatoes were lacking flavor and I only ate a few (not normal for me) 3. we asked for our check three times before it actually showed up. Sorry Good Morning Cafe, we won't be back.

Very average brunch. Would definitely prefer Hobee's, Stacks, or Bill's over this place but it gets the job done. The food was just very very average, a little greasy, and didn't taste like it had the highest quality ingredients. Still, the place is packed on weekends, so people do love it for weekend brunch! I would eat here, it's just not better than other brunch places in the area.

Ah, "A Good Morning Cafe", where do I start? Do I start with the terrible service or the excellent food? I guess I've answered my own question: terrible service it is. We arrived at about 10am and the place was busy. I could see that there were no tables available so the four of us stood patiently waiting for someone to greet us and, unfortunately, this is where the trouble began. I stood patiently for a minute or two but was not acknowledged by anyone. I tried to make eye contact with a server, the cashier, even a busboy, but they simply would not acknowledge our presence. I felt like leaving right then, but my hunger got the best of me. I approached the cashier who had just finished serving another customer and said "excuse me". The cashier ignored me. I then said a little louder, "I'm sorry, but we've been here for a few minutes and we haven't been greeted. Do we seat ourselves or wait to be seated?" (there was no sign). I got a response! She said someone would be right with me. Now, if they had said that 10 minutes ago I would have felt welcome and this review would probably have a totally different tone. We waited. It didn't take long but we'd already been there for like 10 minutes so... We were seated by a friendly waitress and she took our drink orders right away. So far so good, on the waitress. The menu is fairly straight-forward breakfast food. The waitress came back shortly and took our order. I thought, "Ok, so the hostess sucks but this is getting better". We waited. And waited. and waited. Finally my breakfast came out, but my wife's, daughter's, and son's food was not there. I waited patiently thinking that they'd be out in a moment with some more food. We waited. and waited. It was getting very frustrating. We finally flagged down our waitress and she went back to the kitchen. We could hear her yelling at the cooks. Not great, but at least she was going to bat for us. The rest of the food came out!!! Yay! Here's the really sad part, this food is good! It's not the absolute best breakfast I've ever had but based on the food alone, I'd be here at least a couple times a month, but, alas, I will not because the service was horrible! This is a management problem. The waitress was trying but she had too many tables. The owners/managers obviously don't give a crap about service. For instance, after we waited for so long to be seated I noticed that the cashier put out a sign-in clipboard for people to queue up for seating. This is just wrong. A restaurant needs to have a greeter that takes each party's name down and assures them that they'll be seated as soon as possible. IMO, if you use the sign-in clipboard you don't give a crap about your customers and you should just go out of business.

i came here for breakfast, and was surprised at how many patrons were here at 10am on a weekday morning. figured the breakfast must be good if there were that many people. i ordered: *ashley omelet: egg whites, avocado, onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese. this was pretty big with fresh vegetables and definitely very filling. i would have preferred the cheese to be on the inside of the omelet, instead of on top. *2 sides (came with omelet): fruit cup - typical sliced fruit in a small cup. wheat toast - i asked for dry wheat toast, which commonly means no butter/oil, but they brought me buttered toast anyway. perhaps a misunderstanding. *cup of hot tea: your ordinary cup of hot water, add a tea bag total: $13.00 including tax & tip the interior is small-medium sized. my table could have been a little cleaner, the top just felt a little sticky. even though i saw only 2 waitresses, service was fairly prompt. note that you have to pay at the cashier, and sometimes there's a line of folks also waiting to pay their bill. i did appreciate the fact that i was in and out in roughly 30 minutes.

Food was good, waiter was a !@#$#$%. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks and they still did not come, had to notify the waiter our drinks were still not here. He replied sure, no apology was given. But the runners and servers were nice. The only reason why I tipped was because of them.

Cozy ambiance; bright and airy with windows all around. They could have squeezed more seats in if they chose; glad they didn't. On to the food; Coffee was hot and always refilled. I had the DeLox Benedict. Poached eggs were perfect and the hashbrowns were crunchy on the outside and hot on the inside. Smiling happy staff that really seem to care about what they are doing. Definately worth a visit if you are in the area and craving a really good BFast.

If I could give them a 4.5, I would! This place is bomb.com . The boyfriend and I came to try this place out last week and I'm sad we've never had breakfast here since we eat pho right next door a lot! We had the Good Morning Burger and the Spicy Lover's burrito. The Good Morning Burger = SO FREAKING GOOD. So flavorful with an egg.... yum. I think I devoured it in five minutes. The burrito was good too, but more whatevers compared to the burger. The service was pretty good too -- quick and attentive. I would definitely come back and try their other breakfast/brunch items.

The service here was AWFUL!!!!! It was a Sunday morning, so I get it, you're busy. My friend and I placed our order and waited...and waited...and waited some more. Everyone around us had gotten their food. We asked someone that worked there and they mumbled "I'm not your server" and walked away. When someone else who wasn't our server finally brought our food out it was ice cold. Eggs cannot be eaten cold! We told her and she brought it back to the kitchen reappearing minutes later with a steamy plate of eggs. My friend asked if she'd just put it in the microwave and she laughed and said "noooo" like a little kid getting in trouble. At that point we told her we were leaving and would never be back. She just said "Ok! Have a nice day!", didn't attempt to make us happy, bring us her manager, nothing...never again.

Love this little breakfast diner, but the wait is awfully slow. The time's that I've been there, they seem to have enough staff to wait the tables, but the service is always slow. We never get our utensils after we sit or get offered any drinks right away. What I love about A Good Morning is their variety of breakfast combos. They even have one with egg, meat, and pancakes. Sometimes you want both meat and something sweet and A Good Morning has just the right combo for you.

I use to love this place! I found it when my sister and I were really craving eggs benedict and their unique benedicts were really fun and yummy. But it seems that since that first time I went there it has just gone more and more down hill with each visit, to the point where I doubt we will ever go back. The first time I went there I got the Spicy Mexican Benedict, wow! so flavorful and delicious! I went back again, not as delicious but still ok. Ive repeatedly gone back and ordered it but its always hit or miss. However it is usually the people I bring with me when I go to A Good Morning that have the worst experience. A friend of mine ordered a salad... most pathetic disgusting salad I have ever seen, I was honestly embarrassed I had suggested we go there. Her salad was topped with strips of american cheese! No restaurant should EVER serve american "cheese" on anything! So when I ordered over the phone today and asked for the breakfast burrito, which I have gotten before and was satisfied with, I was really disappointed when my husband brought it home and I took a bite to find american cheese stuck all over my teeth. Gross! Since the website was down while I was trying to order and I couldn't see the menu the waitress who took my order is really to blame, she failed to ask me what kind of cheese I would like on the burrito, and I wasn't thinking about it either so fail fail fail, it killed the whole burrito. My husband who had chosen waffles for his breakfast was even more disappointed than I was, they serve FROZEN WAFFLES! Dry, flavorless, freezer burnt waffles! What in god's name?! What kind of "restaurant" serves frozen waffles?! My husband makes the most amazing fluffy, crispy, best waffles you've ever had so the let down was just that much more for him. Sorry A Good Morning, our relationship is now OVER!

When you want a killer breakfast burrito this is the place to go to. Its super yummy ( but does drip in oil/ grease) especially if you choose sausage. The place itself is rather nice both inside and out. It has a great feel with its orange flowy fabrics decorating the outside patio offering style and a sense of relaxation. The inside is usually filled with the sweet aroma of pastries and coffee. One downside of this place is that it closes really early 3pm?!?

I came to A Good Morning Cafe for lunch. My friends and I wanted to enjoy some of the "Best Burgers in Town." Looking at the very selection of burger varieties, I decided to go with the Yucatan burger -- with fresh salsa, grilled pineapple, pepper jack, and habanero sauce. How often do you get a burger that offers sweet (pineapple) and spicy? This sounded like a good combo. Though I enjoyed a couple bites, my experience was hit and miss. What frustrated me was that the burger had already fallen apart before I could pick it up. The bun was too crumbly to support the fillings (and we're talking about a single burger), so it was a struggle to get the full taste. Much of the salsa dripped off (taking some of the bun with it) when I picked it up. When I trapped it all back and took a bite, it was good! I really liked the contrast of flavors and never felt overwhelmed by any of the components. The burger was cooked perfectly medium -- juicy in the center with a little bit of a crust on the outside as I like it. On a side note, I like how you can opt for mixed greens instead of fries at no cost, but don't expect more than something from a salad bag. Overall, I'd consider coming back for lunch, but breakfast will probably bring me here next time. The value is decent, the location is competitive with other eateries, and the service is fine, too.

Arrived at 11:30 and there was a 20-30 minute wait for our party of two. No big deal. We sat in the allotted time, but waited about 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. We had to wait another 10 minutes to place our brunch order and now is where things go weird. The place has a line out in front of it yet empty tables aren't being sat. There are some elderly guests made to stand in line while the seats remain vacant. 20 minutes go by and no one in line has been sat in the empty tables. Almost 10 minutes later we begin to wonder where our food is. Our order has been in for 30 minutes. I ask our server when she passes by if our food is almost ready and she says "sorry, I don't know." 10 minutes go by and my friend decides to politely go inside and ask if our food is coming. The owner is inside and says "oh it's been 40 minutes... really? I'll check". Drinks run dry. Magically my friends meal is delivered to our table within a few minutes. My mail arrives a full nine minutes later after my friend has nearly completed his meal. We ask to speak to the manager and we're told the owner will visit us. A server (not OUR server) comes over to say it's just a bad day. The owner arrived at our table a few minutes later with our check in the book and says simply "sorry. We took 20% off." And drops the check on the table and walks away. Bad customer interaction. The whole ordeal for two omelets and two coffees takes over 75 minutes. I think 20% sorry isn't really very sorry at all. Will not be going back.

I came here for lunch with a couple of co-workers thinking that an hour break would be enough time for us to eat here. WRONG. A Good Morning Cafe serves breakfast and lunch and my initial impression upon entering was positive. I liked the aesthetics in here and the food smelled great; making my decision on whether I wanted breakfast or lunch a difficult one. Eventually we all decide that we want burgers (all of the burger selections sounded delicious). Then we waited...and waited...and waited some more. At one point one of my co-workers has to call our boss letting him know that our lunch is taking forever and that we had yet to receive our food. In what seemed like an eternity later, we got our food and my burger was...alright :( If I am going to wait nearly the entirety of my lunch break the food better be incredible. Unfortunately it was not. If you are a restaurant owner, please, please, please learn how to cook a burger medium. Frankly it is kind of ridiculous how many places screw up cooking a medium patty. I might give this place a chance again for breakfast, but only if I have nothing to do or nowhere to be. I would also like to note that when the 3 of us entered there were not many customers in the restaurant. There is no reason we should have had to wait that long.

I was not impressed with this place at all. Being in the heart of Los Altos, right on the corner of El Camino and San Antonio, I guess I expected too much. I ordered a breakfast burrito but only wanted egg, cheese, avocado and chicken apple sausage. I would have been ok with it if they had used actual shredded cheese, but no, I am 99% positive that they just threw some kraft singles in there. EWW. It ruined my whole burrito. Maybe some people like the taste of fake cheese but I highly recommend asking for actual cheddar cheese (if they even have that). If you are looking for some decent hangover food, this is the probably not a bad choice for you. I on the other hand appreciate a good solid meal with somewhat fresh ingredients, so i will not be a returning customer. Walking inside, I felt like everyone in there had never seen a young face come through the doors, so it's pretty obvious its more of a comfort food spot.

Excellent menu with American classic dishes for breakfast. We were seated promptly and the service was friendly. Kids' hot chocolate for 2.15 comes in a huge mug with whipped cream. Egg white substitutes are not charged extra and the bacon is thick and hearty. Hash browns were perfect--buttery and crisp. The pancakes are also plate-sized, thick and fluffy. We will definitely be back to try lunch. Only con--it took a little longer than most breakfast places, but food was great and it's a nice clean atmosphere.

Visited on a Sunday for brunch, as we're always looking for a new breakfast place in MTV. Service: A bit slow, but not so bad, since they were quite crowded. Food: Breakfast Burrito w/Sausage: Was OK, but Los Charros has a better breakfast burrito. It was kinda plain tasting and I had to get sour cream and salsa to give it any resemblance of a Mexican burrito. I wouldn't get it again. Popeye omelet was OK, but again, kinda plain tasting. The orange juice was fresh and the hash browns were decent. Next visit, I'll try the eggs Benedict.

05/12/12: Ate here again with my girlfriend and two good friends. After all the raving I did about this place, I convinced them to give it a shot. The food was great, but unfortunately took over 45 minutes after sitting to arrive; however, the waitress explained there was only one cook with 20 tickets to serve. They made it a point to come back and make sure our drinks weren't empty (water, coffee, tea). I ordered the breakfast sampler for around $12.00 which comes with unlimited coffee, eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, corned beef, and an English muffin. I would still come back because of the quality and freshness of the food, but only if I had the extra time. I had to lower it one star time for the lengthy service. I ate here 05/05/12 Saturday with my old buddy prior to heading to the Sunnyvale Rod & Gun Club. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. I had the Los Altos Scramble - egg whites, Canadian bacon, and avocado priced at around 8 bucks. The eggs were fluffy and avocado was fresh. Canadian bacon was good, not too salty. The dish also came with egg muffin (choice of toast). I'd definitely come back the next time I head to the range.

A Good Morning made for a better afternoon for me. I was a bit nauseated after dealing with the crowds and the disgusting smell of cinnamon buns at IKEA. To make matters worst, there was an accident on 101. We took a detour and was planning to hit Pho Vi Hoa but AGM looked much more happening. We grabbed the only table left outside and ordered the eggs benedict and chloe's choice sandwich. The benedict was average but i was glad the hollandaise sauce was not too too creamy. The portion was just right. I didnt feel like I needed a nap afterwards. The grilled chicken sandwich was good and had a generous serving of avocados and bacon. I enjoyed the onion rings. The food was actually decent compared to the coffee, which was a bit too watered down for my taste. I'd probably bring my own Peet's coffee next time. I can see why yelpers complained about the slow service. For me, I was in no hurry to run home to do laundry, so it was fine. Our server was gracious and friendly. No complaints. Food, 3.5 stars. If you like strong coffee like me, i'd hit Peet's before coming to AGM.

I went with three co-workers. The bacon was good, the burger was good for lunch, the French toast was not good at all, the fresh squeezed orange juice was good. Overall it was OK, but not better than OK. Very hit or miss depending on what you order. Personally I like Dinah's Poolside better overall. Similar menu, as good or better food, and much better atmosphere.

The food is kind of below-average diner food, but not terrible. The main problem with this place is the service. Our experience was: * Get told there is a 5-10 minute wait for a table, and actually wait 20 minutes * Wait ages till we they took our order * They never brought us water, despite us asking several times * It took an hour for them to bring us our food * When the food did come, one person's food arrived ~10 minutes before the other's. * I asked for an iced coffee, and they brought me a non-iced coffee. * My girlfriends' poached egg was completely hard. The food is edible, if below average, but it may be a long time before you get it.

Came here with the co-workers a while back. We were looking to get our breakfast on. Im always looking for a good chicken fried steak, so I got their country fried steak and eggs. Fairly solid steak and eggs cooked properly. The place is really small and this is one of the weird strip malls in the area. The folks are nice, but they get crazy busy and we were there on the later side .Again, Los Altos seems to have no dearth of these joints so it makes it hard to choose sometimes. I guess you go on mood and distance. 3.5 stars

Very good breakfast. Choice of eating inside or outside on the spacious patio which is heated in the cool weather, which makes dining a bit more comfortable. Great choice of breakfasts with outstanding hash browns and endless very fresh coffee. We will be back to try the burgers for lunch that looked delicious.

Ate here for Breakfast while staying nearby and it was just OK. I ordered Ham 'n Eggs & Hash-browns with Biscuits and Gravy. The Ham was nothing special, just a thin slice of processed ham. The biscuits were good, but the gravy was a boring flour gravy. The service was quick, but with no charm... Oh well.. The hunt for a good Southern Breakfast continues in the Los Altos Area....

I really like A Good Morning. I'm leaning towards like a 3.5 rating, but I'll give them the extra bit for a 4-star :) The service is nice and they set appropriate expectations for the wait time, which I appreciate. The coffee here is spot on. I usually get a smattering of sides--bagel with cream cheese, a scrambled egg, bacon, fruit cup, or hash browns. The bf likes the benedicts and appreciates that they accommodate his request for egg whites. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is FANTASTIC. Solid breakfast option. Apparently they are also the "best local burger"? Unclear about that one, but I will stand by them for breakfast!

I hate to leave a bad review, I know what it's like to run a small business, but this was so bad that here I am. 45 minutes to get a meal, or rather a half a meal, my wife got her breakfast but I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to finish mine. Aren't orders put in a the same time, as they are written on one ticket? So, I was patient and sipped my coffee, which is EXCELLENT by the way, and watched my wife eat, of course she felt bad, but her biscuits and gravy were already cold by the time they reached our table, so she had to eat before the gravy totally congealed, and of course, I told her to go ahead and eat. This wouldn't have been so bad, but I got totally frustrated when the waitress slammed the dish down on our table like it was no big deal that this dish was served so late, and that it was inconvenient for her to be there. So I get the check, and the manager says "was there something wrong with the food?", I guess he noticed that I hadn't eaten, then he apologized with a "sorry" and proceeded to run my cc for the full amount. Being a business owner, I would have comped the meal immediately. I can't discredit the food because I didn't have any. The restaurant wasn't too busy, there were a few tables open, so I have no idea how they could have screwed this up. Won't be back, for sure.

I had some kind of combo that was with a waffle. The waffle was ridiculously cold. I'm not a fan of returning food, but I decided it was too much and sent it back. Even though they reheated it, it came back still pretty cold. The staff seemed like they were too busy talking to each other to seat us, even when it was time to receive the check so we can finally leave. Unfortunately, I did not have a good morning here, and don't plan on returning.

Slightly disappointing. We came here on a busy Sat afternoon so I'll cut them some slack. The service was average but not very friendly. We ordered the scrambles and a breakfast burrito and they were missing something. Even the pancakes were bland. The server did ask if we wanted to move seats since it was taken over my soccer kids. Might give it another try but in the world of breakfasts places, being on every corner, it won't be anytime soon.

This place is in a convenient location but is just okay for brunch. I've been here a few times when I wasn't feeling up to driving to PA. The breakfast consists of large greasy plates of scrambles, pancakes, omelettes, french toast, the usual diner stuff. The omelettes and scrambles are not bad, just your standard fare that you could probably make at home if you had the ingredients. The pancakes are a little iffy though. M and I got the banana pancakes to share, and it tasted like there was cleaning solution in it. After we asked the waitress, it turns out that it's alcohol (some type of rum sauce?) which I was not aware I would be getting with the pancakes. It was a little early in the morning for some strong alcoholic flavored pancakes to be honest. I like the outside seating area although there's cars parking all around you. I'd probably skip this and go to Esther's german bakery across the street.

I usually don't eat breakfast (this is bad, I know) but this last weekend, I did meet an old friend at this café in Los Altos for breakfast. He was raving about everything on the menu! I ordered corned beef and hash and he ordered some pancakes. The place looked really busy and crowded so our food took a long time to arrive at our table. But, it was well worth the wait. The corned beef was very tasty and had just the perfect amount of spices. The hash was not greasy but fluffy. My friend was scarfing down his pancakes as he said it was almost as good as his mom's! The coffee was also fresh and aromatic; the waitress made sure to refill my mug almost as quickly as I drank the coffee. The food and ambiance was nice. My only complaint might be that the seating was a little cramp inside the café and, depending on when you arrive, the wait could be very long since they do not take reservation. This place is so good that I might take my ex-wife out for breakfast here. She's way tougher critic than me and even she, I think, will like A Good Morning Café. I will even pick up the tab and be a chivalrous gentleman that I failed to do when I was married to her. I do not quite understand why she will not give our marriage a 3rd chance. Women. Does she not know that only real man who truly loves a woman will take her out to breakfast?

I can not stand how slow this place is. I'm sitting outside right now and our food has taken 30min. We waited 10min after we got seated to have someone take our order. They have 5 servers and 4 cooks, what is taking so long. Someone needs to teach them to run a restaurant. This is my second time here and both times HORRIBLE SERVICE. The food is good, the eggs could be better poached.

Spending a day dining in Los Altos is an infrequent proposition, especially with so many other great restaurants along the Peninsula. But this Saturday, we happened to hit Los Altos for both lunch and dinner. We got a late start (almost 2 pm) so decided to head to A Good Morning for some American breakfast food. The place was still filled with patrons and a good number were also sitting outside. After being seated promptly, we perused the menu. Like most brunch places, A Good Morning offers omelets, Eggs Benedict, pancakes and a few cold and hot sandwiches. We ordered two items: Reuben w/ Garden Salad - the salad was fresh albeit simple, consisting of a mixture of lettuce and bell peppers. The Reuben itself was good, but not standout. Sauerkraut and cheese were on the (too) minimal side. Chicken Apple Sausage w/ Eggs - The entree came with two grilled sausages. A nice flavor, but I've had some better ones at Costco. Though they incorrectly brought scrambled eggs, they were quick to bring the correct order of over-easy eggs. The eggs (both scrambled and over easy) were done perfectly. Overall, A Good Morning is a nice addition to the brunch scene. Prices were decent ($8/entree), the ambiance is casual and service was nice although forgetful (besides the eggs, they also forget the toast) I personally prefer Joanie's Cafe in Palo Alto over A Good Morning, but it's a decent spot in pinch. A Good Morning takes Mastercard and Visa, but no American Express.

A good morning it was not. Arrived at 10:45 Sunday morning fully expecting to wait. Put our name down with 4 people ahead of us. After 20 minutes we checked and we were next. After another 15 minutes went to check again after seeing people that arrived after us getting seated (same party size). They had completely by-passed us. After realizing their mistake we were promptly seated only because a table became available. We sat down and realized how incredibly loud it was. I couldn't even hear my daughter tell me what she wanted. The kitchen is essentially right in the dining area so patrons were adding to the noise level trying to talk over the banging kitchen. Waitress came took our order and brought drinks..... Never saw here again. After a ridiculous amount of time with no water or coffee refills, the food arrives which is the only reason for the 2 stars. The food was good but it's kinda hard to screw up breakfast IMO. Ironically as I was signing the check, our waitress offers us coffee and water, seriously? If you were fortunate to get a table outside and had an hour and a half to kill for breakfast, this would be a decent choice. As for me, I can get better breakfast and service in a much quieter environment at many other places. So, I won't be back.

Location is good, the outdoor seating is decent with heat lamps. However, service is aggravatingly slow. Took 10 min to get one cup of orange juice and 30 to get our food. Food was mediocre at best.

my boyfriend and i decided to eat here because the place is ALWAYS full - little did I know that it's only full because the wait for your food is so long that you're just stuck at the table for over an hour. the food itself wasn't anything spectacular - the corned beef hash and queen omelette were okay. for the price, the portions also seemed a bit on the small side. we saw a lot of people getting benedicts, which looked legit, but i don't think i'll be going back to give it a try. just not worth it. it may seem odd to be so annoyed at the wait for the food, but honestly, if you're serving breakfast/brunch fare, which is relatively simple, people should be waiting in line to get in. not waiting at the table for a mediocre plate.

I decided to try this place out after reading some of the reviews, and I must say that I wasn't impressed. It was an average meal. The pancakes were ok, and they actually didn't taste as I expected them to, so I'm don't think they were buttermilk pancakes. I've been places where I'm excited to eat breakfast like Nini's in San Mateo or Katy's Place in Carmel. This meal was nothing to get excited about.

Love this place! Pros: Close to work. Decent prices. Breakfast and lunch dishes are served. Huge portions. Food is delicious. Hash browns are nice and crunchy. Excellent customer service by the two lovely waitresses. Food comes out fairly quickly. Able to split check without any grumbling from the waitresses. Cons: Small seating area so wait time to get seated can be fairly long if it's packed. Iced mocha was so-so.

I am quite pleased with this place. I used to live a few blocks away and I always forgot about it because it is tucked away in the most inconvenient plaza by El Camino and San Antonio. It's become my standard spot before a big hike. They have really good omlettes and I like their hashbrowns too. They have fresh squeezed OJ (none of that flash pasturized stuff here) and what's most awesome about this place in my opinion ... no real wait. They know breakfast food is simple and not supposed to be this grand experience where you wait in line for basically ... well nothing *cough* STacks *cough*. They do offer some good healthy options too and everyone there is always friendly. I must go through a pot of coffee whenever I am here because they circle like vultures almost waiting to fill your cup right before you take the last sip. Impressive and much appreciated. They also have a healthy start menu too. It consists of granola, oatmeal and yogurt, etc. It sounds good, but I figure I am eating out ... don't want to be too hypocritical. Now if only they were open for a longer span of time.

The service here is terrible. No one smiles or is even remotely friendly. Food took close to an hour to arrive at our table. It wasn't even busy in the restaurant! Who cares about the food if you don't ever get to eat it? Also, there was no bell peppers or onions in my breakfast burrito which clearly stated on the menu that they were supposed to be in the burrito. This place sucks.

Large menu, interesting location, and absent minded service. Combine all and you've got yourself a slow morning, not knowing where to eat...but the plus side is that you've found parking. My friends and I (group of five) were seated in the back at probably what was their largest table. Service was random and inconsistent - which I felt was odd since it's not a very large restaurant. It boils down to whoever you can flag down and how much they're willing to write down and remember. Atmosphere is definitely lacking and all the tables are ever so slightly sticky how clean and airy their sign out front is. To be honest it's all a bit random...they offer a full menu, but it looks more like it should be a mom and pop coffee shop, but not a diner. On my plate: + Lox Eggs Benedict Half Portion ($8.95) with hash browns Happy that they were willing to accommodate me, but a little annoyed that a half portion was only $2 less than the full portion. Hash browns are perfect. Golden brown, not greasy, and crispy. +/- Cappucino Half if not more was foam. Temperature was lukewarm, but at least it was decently strong...makes me wonder how you can make a very frothy, but lukewarm espresso beverage. Skip it here, go to Peets afterward. Be advised: * the waffle really does look and taste like an Eggo - avoid, avoid, avoid. Coming back for more? For a full plate of Lox Eggs Benedict and hash browns, if at all.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars - the menu was very enticing, the place was cute, and the croissant in my egg & cheese sandwich was outstanding - but the food just really was very lackluster overall and the service left a lot to be desired. There was no wait at about 9:30 on a Saturday, although it was already quite busy and I'm sure there's more of a wait later on. My bf had a philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries ($8.25) and I had a cheese-and-egg sandwich on a croissant ($6), which came with hashbrowns. I also ordered a chocolate chip muffin ($2.20). Except for the muffin, I thought everything was very reasonably-priced - the sandwiches were mostly $7-$8 and breakfast entrees were $7-$9 and everything seemed to come with a LOT of stuff on the side. However, the food was mostly mediocre. My chocolate chip muffin was ok but tasted like a Safeway muffin for about 3x the price. As I said, the croissant in my egg and cheese sandwich was perfection - buttery, flaky, just awesome. But the egg tasted like one of the pre-made McDonalds egg patties that they just microwave, and the hashbrowns were dry and bland. My bf liked the bread on his sandwich, but felt like it could have used a sauce or seasoning or something, other than just bread and meat. The fries that came with his sandwich were very mediocre too. Service left a lot to be desired - we only saw our waiter about twice and had an incredibly long wait to get the check and pay. Yet at the same time they were so slow to serve us, they seemed to be looking at us like we were lingering too long at the table. They did have a bunch of people waiting, but then they should bring us our check! I wouldn't be opposed to coming back here, but I don't think it will be in our regular brunch rotation anytime soon.

Leave it to Yelp to help me find a good place to eat brunch in a foreign city. I had a hankering for french toast, and after checking out the menu online and a quick glance at the reviews, I was sold. We had a rather large group of 6, so the variety of the menu was sure to please everyone. I had a hankering for french toast, so I went with the french toast special. While it wasn't the best french toast I've ever had, it was still mighty delicious and craving-fulfilling, so no complaints there. The only other dish I tired was my friend's sausage and jack cheese eggs benedict. As soon as I took a bite of that benedict, I immediately regretted my decision to get french toast. The sausage and jack cheese made for an amazing combination. That single bite made me want to come back and try every single benedict they had. It was just that good. On a side note, the fresh squeezed orange juice they serve tastes freshly squeezed enough, but it comes warm, which I found off-putting. I ended up just fishing ice out of my water and throwing it in the juice. The service was decent, and they ended up overcharging us for a couple of things. Other than that, it was a nice brunch. Definitely come for the eggs benedict though, you won't regret it. 3.5 stars

I had the vegetarian eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the avocado and tomato were flavorful and fresh. The hash browns were nice and crispy, but the coffee is not so great. All in all, a pretty good breakfast place I wouldn't mind coming back to.

The husband and I tried this place after walking past it to eat pho a few Sundays ago. We're always on the look out for a good brunch spot. And I am always on the look out for a quaint non-chain joint. I'm pretty sure A Good Morning is not a chain, which appeals to me quite a bit. Ever since my pregnancy, I can't stand the taste of egg benedicts (those used to be my favorite breakfast food). So was I disappointed? Definitely! I tried maybe 2-3 different brunch spots and always tasted something sour in my benedict. There were great reviews for the benedicts here, but I was hesitant till my husband said he'll eat it for me if I didn't like it. Guess what?! I'm a believer now! My love for benedicts is back! I used to make my own orange juice, but having a baby changes all this. There were great reviews about their o.j. so I ordered a small. I wasn't that impressed since 1) the oranges were not cold and 2) it was kinda sour. I think drinking sour fresh squeezed o.j. has inspired me to go to Milk Pail and buy my own oranges to make sweet fresh squeezed o.j. to my liking now. Overall, the prices are pretty decent for breakfast food, service is okay, and the food was pretty great! Will I be back for more breakfast later on? You betcha!

Standard American breakfast/brunch foods for a VERY reasonable price. Fresh squeezed orange juice with your meal. Hash browns were crisp all the way through (I don't like the soft hash brown you get in the middle at most places), without being burned. Lots of menu items to choose from, from eggs to scrambles to french toast to pancakes to omelettes. Can get busy on late weekend mornings.

I've been coming here since they first opened. In a way I feel like I gave birth to this place. At least between my friends and I. Years ago when I was still going to school and had the time to enjoy breakfast during the week this was the spot for my friends and I. I must've eaten here 2-3 times a week for a semester or two. =) A Good Morning is a fairly small restaurant that serves solid breakfast and lunch items. Unlike other breakfast joints, they up the meat quantity to four, not your measly two slices. You can even substitute the order of toast for french toast if you ask nicely. Although as of late I feel like the portions have shrank a bit, but that's ok with me. They are still large enough to fill me up and I leave with a smile every time. After the remodel the space really opened up to accommodate the predicted crowd that soon formed here. The staff here are absolutely the best. I even run into them quite often at other restaurants in the area. _+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ My choices: - All American Breakfast - 4 bacon - 2 eggs over easy - Hash - Sourdough toast or one slice of French Toast - Bacon Avocado Omelet - TBA w/ Fries - Turkey, Bacon, Avocado on Sourdough _+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ If you are in the Los Altos/ Mountain View area it's definitely worth stopping by for a solid Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch Enjoy~!

Food was very good, well prepared, and served quickly. They have an amazingly large selection of choices for such a small place. My husband had the corned beef hash and said it was excellent. It was so large he only ate half. I had the smoked salmon on a toasted bagel with everything on it. It was perfectly done. We visited on a Tuesday around 9 am and the place was about 60% full of what looked like regular visitors. We will certainly be back and will schedule small 2-4 person breakfast business meetings.

This is my regular weekend breakfast and brunch place, and I sometimes go for lunch too. Just come in, sit down (inside or out), order anything, and enjoy. Highlights: Fresh orange juice squeezed right there. Good menu selection - from regular eggs and bacon (I normally get the #1), eggs benedict (try the turkey benedict), breakfast burritos, pancakes or waffles, fantastic biscuits and gravy, and a good assortment of lunchtime sandwiches and burgers. You can also get the quick treats, bagels, muffins - and anything else you want to go. They also have a range of coffee and blended drinks - nothing better than a blended mocha and sitting outside on a summer day (WiFi available too). This is a family run business, and they take good care of you. The busiest times are the weekend mornings, but even with a full house, there are enough tables that your turn will come in usually less than 10 minutes. We sit outside, or in the window while waiting - and you can grab a coffee in the meantime. Overall, highly recommended for local and daily breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Friendly but very slow -- I wonder what's the problem?? As others have said before about A Good Morning, they seem awfully slow when they're crowded (which is usually the case in the morning). Food is decent, wait staff is friendly but it takes an awfully long time to get your food. We came on Memorial Day at 10 o'clock and found the place full but got an outside table. After waiting nearly 15 minutes, a waitress came by with coffee and OJ as if we had ordered it. When I told her we hadn't ordered yet, she seemed very confused but at least we got coffee and then placed our orders. It took another 40 minutes before we got our simple order of eggs/potatoes/sausage. The food was good and the prices were about par for places in the area, but I can't say it was so good it was worth the wait. While waiting, tables around us were also complaining about the long wait and one group just had to leave. I'd like to think the long times were because they were short staffed or they didn't expect the heavy numbers on Memorial Day.

Going with the Spicy Burger & onion rings. It was messy, but delicious! Great weekday lunch spot with coworkers or even on your own. Looks like they have an incredible breakfast menu too. Big + in my book for offering a breakfast burrito. I'll be back for one of those.

This is an outstanding breakfast spot. The eggs benedict is among the very best I've had. The cook's have an unusually high level of attention to detail, as the egg is ALWAYS perfectly poached and never runny. The hollandaise sauce is thin and savory, and the english muffin is always toasted perfectly with the right amount of crunch. The hash browns are made the way hash browns are supposed to be- light and crispy. It's a quaint place with great service and great prices. I'm always stuffed when I'm finished and am always pleasantly surprised when my bill is barely over 10 dollars. Highly recommended.

We come here for our regular greasy brunch fix because it is close-by (approx five mins ) and convenient. The portions are generous and unlimited coffee comes with most breakfasts. We usually get either the full breakfast, eggs Benedict or salmon bagel. Like very much that there is a choice of white, whole wheat or sour dough bread. We enjoy eating al fresco the best to avoid the crowds inside and smoky kitchen odors. It's not the best cafe, but it certainly isn't the worst.

A decent breakfast place in the Mountain View/ Los Altos area can be hard to find. I think the menu offers a variety of good quality choices. This place is good for breakfast or brunch not so much lunch. The servers are very friendly and the service is usually good. It's an idea stop during the regular week if you have time, but during the weekends the restaurant is small so seating can be an issue. Overall I generally enjoy my experience dining here and plan on returning when I happen to be in the Bay Area.

Came here on a weekday morning at around 10am, and I was expecting to wait. There were no tables open inside, but there were a few outside which I had no desire to sit at (it was a little chilly). As soon as I came in, the waitress proceeded to direct me to my table (Wait a minute - all the tables are full...where's she gonna seat me? Oh. There's a table). There was a small round cafe table set up right in front of the display case where the pastries are. So here I am in a dining room full of normal, rectangular tables lined up by the window, while I am the lone diner on the other side at a freakishly small-sized table. Ok, I'll get over it. I'm hungry. I ordered the corned beef hash which I had problems with. It tasted very good. The problem was that fitting my plate, a cup of coffee, a glass of water, and a newspaper on the table was next to impossible. Food or current events...starve all day or not find out how the debates went? The food won out...cuz I had to pay for it. Meanwhile, I see people sitting comfortably at their tables enjoying their food AND reading the newspaper. Shoot, one guy had a newspaper AND a laptop. Lucky. Please, get rid of the table. I know it increases your seating capacity by 1, but I really don't like the feeling of someone standing over my table as they browse the pastry case. It's a little creepy.

Awesome breakfast place in Los Altos with Mountain View prices. The atmosphere is very relaxing and more modern than traditional diners (no greasy chairs and menus). The buttermilk pancakes are really fluffy and the hashbrown crispy. I'd give the food 4* out of 5 and the atmosphere 4.5*. Service can be a little slow because of the shortage of staff. There is more parking at the back of the mall. The outdoor seating makes A Good Morning dog-ok. The staff is dog-friendly too. Overall, I still think that Bill's offers the very best bf, but the Willow Glen location is a little too far to reach regularly.

Terrible service. I really want to like this place more. I feel like the space, vibe, menu, concept has so much potential! They just need to pull their service together. It seemed that the wait staff doesn't have assigned tables and that is a huge problem. It that's not the case, then it's disorganized enough to make me think that it is the case. When we were finally noticed by a waitperson/server I ordered a scramble with chicken sausage, mushrooms, onions and jack (?) cheese (maybe swiss - I can't remember - it was white) and I asked for no onions. Quite some time later I received my scramble. With onions. Lots and lots and lots of onions. The server had bailed on our table before I noticed and I had to grab him to point it out. I was too hungry to send it back, but I said to him if I had allergies to onions, then this would be a problem and he agreed, saying he would tell "them" (I assumed the cooks). He also said he would try to get it taken off our tab. As I dug into my scramble, it appeared it was about 50 percent thick, coarsely chopped onions and I had to pull them out as I ate. The sausage wasn't very good - and not hot at all. The cheese looked like processed white cheese - gross. I won't order this item again, that's for sure. The coffee was good. When we arrived BF hit the coffee first thing, got it in a To-Go cup and paid at the register. When we got the bill, the server (who had only *served* us one coffee - mine) had charged us for two and hadn't been allowed to take my scramble off the bill. Instead he had filled up two coffee punch cards and gave us those, which I thought was nice and a clever way to work around his manager who I think was dick-ish for not taking my scramble off our bill. I brought the coffee charge to his attention too. He went fixed the check. All in all, the server was a *nice* guy, and I hate to give him a hard time here. But the bottom line is the service sucked and the food wasn't great. The coffee is good, the space is nice, the location is great (in the Heritage Bank Plaza on El Camino and San Antonio and three blocks from my apartment). I will give this place another try or two (maybe something from the sandwich menu), but I'd rather have slightly more mediocre food and better service than have terrible service any where. ---------Review updated 11.7.07 from Two to Four stars--------------- Most of the two star bump is for customer service. The owner emailed me regarding my original review above and apologized and promised to make up for it if I gave her little cafe another try. BF and I returned and had lunch this time instead. The service was *much* improved (though you can't tell how much of that is due to my telling the waitress about my email from the owner) and the sandwich is one of the more generous Reuben's I've had from a cafe of this sort. Most are stingy on the meat, but this one was just about the right amount. The meat was a little dry though and the sandwich could have used a skosh more sauce. The salad was huge. I post pics to this business profile. Seriously. The salad was half the plate. Check it. I will be back and I'll give breakfast another try. Thanks to the owner for *great* customer service!

Do you ever go somewhere & feel like "if they just...." it would be so amazing? That is exactly how I feel about A Good Morning. They are just on the cusp of being great, but falling quickly into mediocrity. There are so many things about this place that make me happy, but our last experience was really really bad. My fiancee and I both really only have Sundays off, so we like to get out of the house and enjoy a good breakfast. We happened upon this place 2 weeks ago & decided to go back last Sunday. OOPS! Not only were they under staffed for the 2nd week in a row, it seemed that they were having a hard time keeping themselves organized. If they were to add 1 more person to their front of house for Sunday breakfast, they would be turning tables like crazy! Because the service was slow, people were waiting for tables while people were waiting to get their check so they could leave. Not good. I was starving and frustrated. Our service was slow & when I ordered my burger with no mayo and it had a big, gross dollop of mayo on it, I felt like I couldn't even send it back. I was afraid I would never see it again. So I scraped it off and scarfed it down. Dis-gus-ting!!! When we left we had a nice little debate over whether or not we would go back, and I am still on the fence. However, I loved the food - the healthier alternatives are nice & thank you thank you for not giving me a sticky table and cruddy menu! But be careful - some of the 'regulars' are a little Twilight Zone-ish. (I won't even get into that one)

Yelp's definition of: 2 Stars - Meh. I've experienced better. 3 Stars - A-OK. I'd rate this restaurant somewhere between the two, but because I was personally VERY disappointed that a 4-star rated restaurant delivered such grossly sub-par food, I'm keeping the rating at 2. The Good: chocolate chip muffin (according to my friend, I didn't have any), corned beef hash (I hate the stuff, but again according to friend, it was the best he's ever had), pancakes (OMG AMAZING), mushrooms (in the Queens omelette, they're pretty flavorful) The Bad: They used those Kraft slices of cheese on my omelette! I was horrified, shocked, disappointed, all of the above! They could have just skipped the cheese, or just used a little bit of better-quality cheese, but NO they had to GO THERE. Hash browns were boring; bread was too - they use the nasty Smucker's jam... Chicken apple sausage didn't taste like much of anything aside from cheap processed meat. All in all, I was expecting a nice, healthy, or at least not cheap-processed omelette, and was sorely disappointed. Tomatoes were sour, meat was cheap & processed, cheese was cheap & processed, and the only thing I really liked about the omelette was the mushroom. Also, according to others at the table, neither the benedict nor the breakfast sandwich were all that great... I recommend Country Gourmet Bistro over this any day. (But only for breakfast, as I haven't gone to either restaurant for anything other than breakfast...) Ingredients are fresh & flavorful, prices are similar if not cheaper, I could go on and on...

A Good Morning is my new favorite place to go for breakfast. Having grown up in New York, one of my favorite places to go was to the diner. A Good Morning has really good food, to start. Everything is also very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is very un-pretentious for Los Altos. The crowd is younger than average, and the wait staff are friendly, although service can be a bit slow and sometimes you have to wait a while for a table. Note that I'm still giving this five stars. I really don't mind if a restaurant is crowded - most of the time that means it's good. In fact, if i'm traveling somewhere and don't have access to Yelp, I'll choose the most crowded-looking restaurant and it's usually really good. If people are willing to wait, chances are what they're waiting for is good. So, you may have to wait at A Good Morning, but it's totally worth it. The food is amazing. I'm a HUGE fan of the egg sandwiches; they seem like they were flown in from a New York diner. Thus far, A Good Morning's food is most representative of the delicious east coast diner food I miss so much. Flames, etc... may have the kitsch, but the food is lacking. The hashbrowns are really good, too. I will have to try their omelette's at some point, but I like the egg sandwich so much it'll be tough not to. The waffle wasn't my favorite, so I would advise against that if you're a waffle aficionado. I can't help but think that they'd make a lot more money by expanding. I'm not sure how new A Good Morning is, but they definitely have a lot of positive buzz. This is my new favorite breakfast place, and I suggest you try it!

I CANT DO IT...lets put aside the FACT that the new owners completely mistreated the staff that was the backbone of Good Morning. Lets put aside the FACT that the new owners threw these good hardworking people out like yesterdays garbage...if you can condone that sort of behavior and STILL patronize this establishment...well karmaically thats on you....but... Before I discovered what happened to all my friendly faces I visited, as I have been for awhile Good Mornings for breakfast and lunch. I mirror the previous posts by saying that on more than one ocassion my (our) order came completely screwed up (Ice tea lemonade came as Coffee with LEMONADE!! just one example). Refills for coffee you typically have to get up and get yourself and if you want to go boxes bring your own. Sure they have crammed more rickety mismatched tables in the place but the food service and ambiance just plain suck now. I could spend paragraphs elaborating, but if you are a regular customer you KNOW what I am talking about. Go around the corner to Oreganos. Good food, great friendly service and reasonable prices. They are happy to see you and appreciate your business....plus Ellies there!!

Adequate if you are in a hurry, but not worth it. The pancakes are not my favorite and the service was just ok.

My boyfriend brought me here for brunch on our anniversary, and I just love the cute quaintness of this place. The buckwheat pancakes are excellent, and their coffee is good too. This is always a good alternative to Hobee's or Stacks. This is not a good place for large groups though, as the restaurant is rather small.

cheap prices, and good food. my only complaint, my toast was a little over-buttered and the place can get a little crowded...which means they are pretty good in my book if my biggest concern is too much dairy product on my sourdough. anyways, we went on a sunday morning around 11:30 and were seated within minutes. i did notice that some people waited for 10 minutes before getting seated, but not bad for a sunday morning. i ordered the spanish scramble. this was amazing!!!! lots of everything (cheese, peppers, ham), they definitely don't skimp you on filling. and the hash browns went great with the scramble! my bf got the blueberry pancakes. pretty good, but could probably use another pancake (they only give you two). overall, I will definitely come back. like i said, cheap yummy eats!!

After driving by a few times and talking to friends I finally visited yesterday for the first time. Business was good for a Monday morning. Ordered the classic eggs Benedict, which was quite good; not greasy or overly salty. The country potatoes were definitely above average. One complaint; the pancake (plain) that my partner ordered was below average in texture and flavor. Perhaps the restaurant should explore alternative batter? Overall, nice food and reasonable prices in a bright, unassuming atmosphere. Value and convenient location means I'll be back. 3.5 Stars.

This place is a good local breakfast joint. The food is always very good, the servers work really hard - recently it appears they have added additional wait staff which was much needed.

It's definitely a good morning when I come here for breakfast. The service is good and attentive, and the food is yummy. It tastes like real home cooking. The menu is extensive, so you really can get anything you want from eggs and pancakes to omelets to breakfast burrito to burgers to salads. I have ordered an omelet and the florentine egg benedict, both delicious. The country potatoes are really good with a little kick to them. The fresh squeezed orange juice hits the spot, and all in all, I leave here a happy girl.

bear with me....here comes my 'blah'... so on weekends I usually make my own American breakfast at home but my roomy was busy concocting flammable mixtures for his skydiving stuff. I usually head out to HOBEE's but hopped on Yelp to point me to the direction of another good breakfast joint. Im glad I stopped in at A GOOD MORNING. I try to stick w/ the norm when trying a new place, so I ordered the "American Breakfast" plate. Yum! Sunny side up eggs, your choice of hashbrowns (which i got ) or country 'taters, choice of toast/english muffin, saus./bacon/ham. I said how 'bout sausage AND bacon? "Sure!" Sweet. The wait was slow like everyone had mentioned but we started off w/ coffee and OJ. Don't get the OJ unless you want a moderate cup of OJ for 'ten thousand dollars'. (what are they trading for on the stock exchange nowadays anyway?) (Minus one star). Coffee was okay but no pick-me-up so I had to head to Starbucks after for my Americano -- only thing w.espresso I get there since its a buck 80. (i sound like sucha cheap ass!) All in all, the waitstaff was friendly. The food tasted great and much 'lighter' and less greasy than Hobee's. Just don't get the OJ unless you feel like blowing 3 bucks for a small glass.

If you're into brunch, this is the place to be. Plain and simple. The portions are huge! I'm normally not a brunch/breakfast guy (I much rather sleep in), but if I live close enough here, I'll be tempted to wake up for a meal here. :) I came out with some co-workers, and kid you not, all our orders were huge and delicious. I order a special omelet -- mushrooms, apple sausage, some veggies. I haven't had such a satisfying omelet in a long time. The folks there are nice and it's a great place to bring a group of friends to socialize and eat. If you go, make sure you try their omelets at least once.

I am an evangelical non-breakfast eater. Okay maybe not evangelical, but definately only a couple of times a year do I eat typical breakfast food (odd as that may sound). But when the hankering for some real breakfast comes along, The Good Morning café /coffee shop is the place I want to be. Why would someone who hates breakfast food go to Good Morning? Three words, Chicken Apple Sausage. Oh yeah! How many places serve Chicken Apple Sausage for Breakfast? It is soo good. Not only do I love the Chicken Apple Sausage, they make the perfect hash browns (although the home style potatoes are pretty delish as well) and they make toast how I like it (barely toasted that doesn't produce a lot of crumbs). Their iced tea is close to perfect too. They have non-breakfast food there as well, but since I have this love fest with chicken apple sausage, I will stick to ordering something that includes that every time I go. Timing is everything when visiting Good Morning as it can get pretty packed. Service is fairly quick the times I have visited and the servers are attentive. The establishment is small and can get quite loud. Overall this is a great place. This is a great value for not going to a chain restaurant.

Okay, I admit it, I'm a sucker for a waitress with personality. It doesn't take much to engage a customer with some genuine friendly banter and actually talk to them, which is surprising that it doesn't happen more often. The staff here really connected with me. My sister and I went to A Good Morning today for breakfast and I couldn't have been happier with the service or food. I had the eggs benedict with the hashbrowns. While someone else criticized the hashbrowns for being oily, I had the good sense to ask about the hashbrown and country potatoes before ordering. While the potatoes sounded good (red potatoes with herbs that the way-cool waitress recommended), the awesome waitress said that the hashbrowns would be cooked crispy. How could I pass up the greasy hashbrowns to go with my traitor eggs? The coffee was great, the place was casual and not too crowded (which I couldn't understand given the reasonable prices, location and quality), the staff was too cool for school, and the food was great (you won't be disappointed with the eggs benedict). I've been looking for a good place around MV and LA to get breakfast and now I've found it. I will be back. p.s. - Did I mention how great the waitress was?

My wife and I used to love this place, but after getting food poison twice in a row, we officially retire from this place. Watch out for the half and half on the table, better to have it straight from the fridge.

The service is absolutely terrible! We got there around 10:30 on a Saturday, it is busy, I asked the Waiter -- the Asian guy, might be even the owner's relative, how long we need wait, he said it should be soon, we put down our name, we waited, quite a few tables were open but nobody called our name, we waited and waited, still no one called our name. I had to tell them a few times there were tables, and nobody was in front of us. Finally we got seated, again had to get someone's attention to order our food. Then the waiting started again, half an hour later, our food is still nowhere to be seen. By the way, we only ordered simple breakfast food, nothing complicated. Even my patient husband was wondering whether they have forgotten us, he asked for our food, it took another 15 minutes for the food to arrive! It was decent food, but the terrible service really destroyed our experience there! Don't think they will ever see me there again!

After a morning run at Rancho San Antonio, we went to A Good Morning for a quick breakfast. It was recommended by a friend and I had no idea any breakfast joint existed in that shopping center. When I got there I was surprised by the outdoor seating and inviting atmosphere. While I waited for my friends to come I ordered a glazed old-fashioned donut which were made that morning. When my friends arrived I ordered a full breakfast of OJ, corn-beef, scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns. We sat outside which is pretty rare in the bay area to find patio seating for breakfast. Food came out pretty fast and the service was great. I'd definitely go back and even recommend it to my friends.

It's easily one of the best places to eat breakfast for miles in any direction. As a frequent diner here it's nice that in such a busy little restaurant they remember you, are always friendly and have consistently good food. I especially enjoy the omelettes (mexican, cancun, bacon avocado) and scrambles (big boy). It can get busy in the morning on the weekends and a line does form, but usually it doesn't take too long or you can plan for it, dress accordingly and eat outside. If only there were more good places for breakfast in the area like this one.

I can't imagine that all these 4- and 5-star reviews are about the same terrible place we ate at last weekend. First, the ambiance: It's a crowded bakery with zero charm, and if you sit outside -- where more than half of the tables are located -- you're assaulted by the noise and fumes of El Camino. Second, the service: Our waitress kept us waiting for 10+ minutes without so much as a hello (she was taking care of at least 10 tables, alone, so I suppose the fact that we got served at all is a miracle). After she dumped the check while we were still eating -- never asking if we needed anything -- she never came back; we had to walk inside to pay. Third, the food: Gross. Nuclear-yellow hollandaise from a mix. Manky corned-beef hash (and trust me, I actually like the canned stuff. This was beyond inedible). Un-toasted English muffins. Heinz ketchup bottles refilled with a watery, off-brand imitation. Overcooked poached eggs, drowning in a tepid pool of water. Even after I drained them, they were inedibly vinegary. And, I'm sorry, you're out of staples like mushrooms and home-fries at 10am on a Sunday morning? Get real. Send the dishwasher to Safeway, already. At least it was cheap-ish. I can't imagine how disappointed I'd have been if we'd waited 20 minutes for a table. As we left, the line was forming... unbelievable.

A bit overrated in my opinion. It's a decent breakfast place - although it is small. More like a bakery with some tables. Anyway, came here and had an omelet. It was fine - but the cheese on top was a bit overwhelming so I scraped it off. The hash browns were pretty good. They didn't have proper jam which is a negative for me (just some Kraft jelly which wasn't exciting). I do like the outdoor seating and the service was very friendly. It wasn't busy when we were there so service was quick and efficient. I may go back if I'm in the area but not sure I'll go out of my way to come here.

I like taking friends here for brunch because it's small and quaint and conducive to good conversation. It's a nice alternative to crowded Hobbee's. I have also liked everything that I've ordered there and the outdoor seating is so lovely on a sunny day. A VERY Good Morning indeed!

Good things: It's very cheap. The food is decent Bad things: The service is horrendous. We waited over an hour after being seated for our omelets. The restaurant can only seat about 12 parties so I can't imagine why there was such a long wait. We sparingly received coffee refills and were never offered water. With all the raving reviews, I may give it another shot, but I'll probably stick with Hobee's down the street.

Sad to say we don't frequent this restaurant anymore. Not sure what happened with the food quality and service (but it went downhill), and yes, I miss Grace and staff -- too bad. We go to Village Pantry now.

HOW does this place have FOUR stars?? I'm mystified. It was meh at best. I ordered the Los Altos scramble. I think I would have made it better myself. The country potatoes had GIANT strips of peppers in them, not just a few diced peppers here and there for flavor, it was like freaking stir fry in the potatoes. Plus they were greasy. That didn't stop me from eating them, I will tell you. The canadian bacon was eh. The coffee was eh. The fresh squeezed orange juice = awesome. The fact our waitress was absent at the end (and eating breakfast) was slightly annoying. I don't think we'll go back.

Every now and again I'll visit this place for lunch with some co-workers. Overall, the service and food is good. The menu is focused mainly on breakfast, but they have a fair variety of lunch items too. Depending on how busy it is, you may need to wait for a table since there is limited seating inside.

For whatever reason, this particular location has housed a long history of businesses that just didn't make it. But I think they've finally found a winner in "A Good Morning." I certainly hope this business is here to stay! I'm practically a regular here, and the staff is exceptionally friendly (though often short-handed, what with the popularity of this place, especially on a weekend morn). I'm a fan of the breakfast fare, from egg dishes such as "Joe's Wife" (which I order sans beef), served with country potatoes to die for (crunchy and slightly spicy, with onions, yum!!) to fruit-laden waffles and pancakes. The first time I had the Eggs Benedict (Florentine, with Spinach), they were perfect - the second time, entirely too much sauce... swimming in it, but great, otherwise, once you you removed some of it... The coffee is exceptionally good, and they serve all kinds of fancy espresso and specialty drinks (some of them sound a little odd, though). Definitely worth the wait for a table. Now, if I could only get out of bed earlier in the morning on a weekend, so I could make it more often...

  • Jim P.

The food is good solid breakfast fare with just enough of a California twist: the menu is just right. Eggs Benedict is to die for. The location is convenient, and they've done it up just right. The patio is about as pleasant as you can ask for. But more than anything, I associate this place with lazy Saturday mornings spent with my favorite person in the whole wide world, so how can I complain?

Huge menu and large portions but that's where the good news ends. Everything we had was greasy, hash browns, eggs, sausage. I asked for wheat toast. I got rye. Service was inattentive. The people watching was OK. We won't be back.

I have not been here for year. They have improve a lot with more attractive menus. I love their coffee which is GREAT!! I order the All American Favorite Breakfast, and the portion is great with reasonable price. The only thing I want to comment is my toast is ... over toast on 1 side, but it was fine on the the side. May be the toaster was not working perfect.... I guess. Orange juice is a bit over price for the large cup, that cause $3.50 if I compare to other restaurant on the fresh squeezed orange juice. Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch!

I love this place. Although the only set back is that there are only about seven tables, so on weekends the wait time is quite long. So you have to get in there early! They offer a large range of breakfast meals and some lunch ones too. They are all healthy and delicious! It can be a little pricey, but worth it. The service is okay, they make sure your water/ coffee class is full. I have to be honest though, ever since I discovered Rick's Cafe (which is closer to my house) I frequent there.

Fall 2007 Update: Some of the food has grown on me... The Burlingame scramble and the Colorado omelette in particular. The Burlingame (chicken apple sausage, mushrooms, onions and Swiss) is pretty good but a little heavy on the cheese. The Colorado (ham, bacon, mushrooms, onions) is probably my favorite so far and I would go back again for this. May brave the Mexican omelette again... I recommend the hashbrowns over the home fries, as the home fries are a little greasy. The toast is hit or miss, sometimes it's actually toasty, other times it's sadly soggy. Unimpressed by the steamed soy milk, but that's probably I'm used to Taiwanese style soymilk. I'll up my rating to a 3.5. Still lacking that fourth star... service is improving but still a little forgetful at times and food is a matter of choosing carefully. Still, love the ambiance of the place. Original Review: Loved the atmosphere. Sure seating is rather limited, but it's cute and quaint. I liked the sliding windows and the fact that the patio seating was well-shaded during the morning. Wasn't blown away by the food, though. The hash browns were good, a nice mix between crispy and soft. The mexican omelette was a little uninspired and very uneven (I got through 3/4 of the omelette before tasting any chorizo). They also forgot to give me my toast. Service overall was friendly and earnest but a little spotty - they seemed short-staffed despite having someone manning the cashier/dispensing drinks and two waitresses. A- for atmosphere, B for food, B- for service. Lots of potential, just needs a little polish and tightening up the execution. Most likely will be back. They take plastic, which is always nice. Addendum: The owner sent a thank you my way, which was a nice personal touch.

Having driven by a few times, we've been wanting to try it out on a weekend. On Sunday, we went in around 8:30am and got a table inside fairly easily. It was already filling up though because there was only one available table inside, and a handful of available ones outside. The selection of breakfast is pretty good, including many of the usual American breakfast items. We ordered an two omelet dishes and pancakes (Kids Meal). The portions are large, the quality of the ingredients fresh, and they were very tasty. My husband did note that his omelet had too much cream cheese but I really enjoyed mine. The young male waiter did mess up our Kids Meal order, but they corrected it promptly, and offered extra food. As the morning got later, it became very crowded and people had to wait for tables, but most people seemed to be enjoying their dishes. We'll be going back again.

I tried this place out on a Friday morning and ordered a waffle. I wanted to add a healthy spin to it and inquired about adding fresh fruit on top, but to my disappointment they had run out of fresh fruit - even bananas. How can a breakfast place run out of fresh bananas? So, I just ate my plain waffle. The waffle itself wasn't bad, but I would have enjoyed it better with fresh fruit. I'll try again next time and cross my fingers that they will have fresh fruit then.

A Good Morning has made some great changes over the last year. The breakfast is the best (especially the eggs Benedict). They are constantly updating their menu. The service is great. They staff learns the regular's names and make you feel at home. The lunch menu is also fantastic. Enjoy!!!!

Stopped into this little cafe for breakfast, for the first and last time. It was so terrible all the way around, that I felt compelled to write a review as soon as we got home. It was crowded so we thought it must be good. This is the most disappointed I have ever been at a breakfast spot, as were the 2 other people in my party. Ever!!! Breakfast took 60 minutes to arrive. No one ever stopped by to apologize for the lengthy wait. One person in my party had a waffle which was doughy and raw in the middle. They delivered his milk an hour before the breakfast arrived. The other person in my party ordered an omelet. She said the omelet wasn't tasty at all and her toast never did come! My eggs benedict was OK. English muffin tasted sweet. My eggs were poached correctly. The canadian bacon and the english muffin tasted burned but they didn't appear to be, so the grill just must have just been dirty. The Hollandaise sauce was just OK. Just par. We will never return to this cafe.

I came here for a late breakfast and ordered the good morning scramble with hash browns and wheat toast. A hearty meal with very generous portions, I felt very well-fed when we left. My primary quibble with the food is that the cheese was just glopped on in a thick layer over the scramble, making it very unevenly distributed--and resulting in some bites that were almost all cheese. Service was also a bit lacking; I think we sat for at least 20 minutes with our mostly-empty plates before our check came, and I had to ask twice for a set of silverware. I'd come back again if I'm in the mood for a big breakfast/brunch, but I don't think I'd crave this restaurant in particular.

I've been a few times. The meals and service are sometimes good and sometimes not good at all, but never really great. I guess I always hope it's going to be better because the location is so good. I think today will be my last time going there.

Small place with very little seating. Husband ordered an omelette, it was very good, but I ordered a yogurt parfait. As the order was coming out, I heard one of the waitresses ask "what's a yogurt parfait and how do you make it?" Uhhhh.....DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since I live close by, I'll come back :-)

Enjoyed breakfast here with the family yesterday. The eggs and corned beef hash were great (it was a cheating day...), and the hash browns were good. They botched the toast order - brought us all the same kind of toast even though we ordered three kinds, but that is not a crisis. The kids loved the fresh-squeezed orange juice and the bacon. The restroom was very clean. Anecdotally, a very nice man waiting in line with us bought a donut for one of my kids who was getting a bit restless. Clever and very generous, This Charming Man!

Recently opened in the same plaza as Pho Vi Hoa, A Good Morning is a charming and welcome addition to the MV breakfast scene. The design of the sign - clean, simple and friendly - perfectly suits the vibe of the place and also the type of breakfast they serve. They offer all the standard omelettes, benedicts, and other breakfast favorites, but also include several California-style options like egg whites and spinach for more health conscious patrons. I've never tried the pastries, but they look good as well. I suspect this shop was opened by a bunch of friends, as the same young women are behind the counters every time I go. I hope they enjoy continued success and plan to come back often. It's small, though, so keep that in mind. Oh man how i love breakfast.

If you are looking for some great eggs benedicts, this is the place! Food: I mainly tried the eggs benedicts and they were extremely good Environment/atmosphere: the place is pretty small so it is good for party of 4 or less. Service: the service varies, the staff is usually nice but you will feel rushed during busy hours.

I love breakfast and "A Good Morning" was a good stop for some tasty day starters. The atmosphere was homey and friendly and, though on the small side, was still nice enough to be charming. The food was served fairly promptly and my omelet was delicious. There's something about breakfast places, where I am irresistibly drawn to omelets - I think it's because I can never make my own. And these were damn tasty. I ordered the Ashley, which featured egg whites, making it lighter than a regular omelet. Tasty. I loved the crunchy hash browns too. However, the toast was sort of on the soggy side (not crisp enough to handle the butter slathered on top) and there was a lot of grease pooling on my plate. I can't wait to go again but I might have to take a break, lest I make my heart hate me. EDIT: I just upgraded my review to 5 stars, because this is my favorite brunch place. I would go here every week if I could. Their hash browns are the BEST ever.

Our usual order? Two double latte, spinach, bacon, tomato benedict, and a fruit plate. Portion is generous so we normally share. My other favorite is Belgian waffle with berry and chocolate sauce. They have good coffee and like their fresh OJ too. The restaurant is usually very busy, so we try to go early if possible.

Let me start by saying I joined Yelp to review this place. My husband and I are fairly regular customers (during the summer we were here at least 1-2 times a week and during the school year we go about twice a month). 4-5 months ago I would've given this restaurant 5 stars. I loved it. The food was good, the service good, and I enjoyed the small feel. Then one day we went for breakfast and noticed they had wiped the slate clean. All of the regular employees were gone, replaced. And it's been downhill from there. My husband and I talked about writing a Yelp review on this place the last time we were here, but I wanted to give it another chance. I really didn't think things could be worse than being charged for coffee that came with my meal, slow service, and six slices of toast instead of eight. (I know that may be petty, but if I am paying for it, I want my toast.) I am not rating this place after one icky experience. I went back three times. Today was the day that I decided I will no longer be a patron of this restaurant. It started with the service--slow! They are nice, but there is a complete lack of efficiency. The previous team had this place down to a science. I never had to ask for anything--my coffee cup was refilled, I had silverware and napkins on the table when I sat down, and my food came quickly. In my past three visits, I have not had my coffee refilled once without having to wait and/or ask for it. Today I finally gave up and went to refill my coffee myself (as did two other patrons in the restaurant during the time I was there). I consistently am having to get my cream refilled. No one appears at my table except to take an order, to drop off food, and if I am lucky, to give me my check and my to-go box. I am also disappointed with the slight change in the country potatoes. They used to be greasy and FULL of flavor--now they are not. I don't know if a spice was removed from the recipe, or if they are putting less spices in the potatoes to save money, but the flavor is gone. It's bland. Please note--I have now ordered these three times to see if the lack of flavor was just a one time thing...it wasn't. The egg dishes are still good, and that's the only reason I gave this place two stars. The final straw--today my husband and I went for breakfast. We both ordered coffee. I will admit, there was a power outage...but...if you don't have it, don't let people order it. We each got half a cup of coffee in the cups that were brought to us. We waited for refills, but none came. So...I got up, went to the coffee dispenser they have and tried to refill our cups...no regular coffee. Our meal arrived. Um. No utensils. No napkins, so we asked for these items--which luckily came to us quickly. We finished our meal and then waited. And waited. Ten minutes later I asked for a to-go box (and my husband was finally offered more coffee, but we were done by then). Ten minutes after that I still didn't have a to-go box. Nor did we have a bill. I added up the cost of our food in my head, wrapped my leftover eggs and toast in a napkin, put cash on the table, and we walked out the door. I am very bummed at the loss of my favorite breakfast place. I wish the previous employees were still working here, as I believe I might still be a customer. They were friendly, always smiling, and really seemed to know how to run the place. In addition, there were enough of them to keep things going. Now there seem to be more tables, and less employees. Next weekend, i will begin my search for a new breakfast place.

Excellent portions, and the OJ is truly fresh squeezed. The food and service are both good, though not extraordinary. All things considered, it's a very serviceable breakfast.

My parents live close by, and I go to to some of the other restaurants in this plaza, but had never tried this place out for breakfast. It's new, isn't it? I came in on a Sunday at around 1230 or 1pm. The first thing I notice is that the place is very small, maybe 7 or 8 booths, and a few tables outside for small parties (probably 3 or less), and every one of those tables is occupied. That's fine, I don't really mind waiting a good 15 minutes or so. By the way we are the only people standing and waiting in the restaurant, a few people that came in after us were waiting outside. 10 minutes go by and not one person has greeted us or handed us menus so we have to walk to the back of the restaurant to look for menus. 10 more minutes go by, and after deciding on our order, and putting the menus back where we found them, we tell (who I think was) the cashier (dark haired asian teenager girl with an attitude) that we've been waiting for a good 20 minutes now and no one has even acknowledged our existence. She says something along the lines of, "...uh... There's a waiting list... put your name down and we'll call you... duh!!!!" I added the duh, but she might as well have said it. We then asked the estimated wait time, and she said it'd be about 15 minutes. After waiting there about 20 minutes already, my friend and I were over it. We did not eat at this restaurant, and because the teenager manning the front was such a beez, we probably won't be, ever. We both just felt like they were understaffed, and the staff that was there, had no sense of urgency or cared much about servicing the customer.

Good place for breakfast or brunch! The fresh squeezed orange juice is epic; well worth the extra cost!

I have seen this place a few times and dragged a friend with me to try it. I was excited b'cuz i love diners and breakfast joints. This place wasn't a "joint" but it looked like it was worth trying. We walked in and sort of stood there and wondered, "do we seat ourselves" "do we wait"? My pal asked the gal behind the reg and she said to sit and someone would come over. We grabbed a table outside (there are only 6 or so tables inside and they were all full) and waited.....and waited...and waited...for about 10 mins before a menu was brought over. A server came over, gave us menu's and asked of we needed a few mins. We ordered coffee and when it came with the cream, we had no spoons to stir with. We asked for spoons. We ordered our food and it came out pretty quickly. I was able to sub fruit for bacon which was cool. When the goods came...we had so silver. The server brought us silver and napkins and we ate. The food looked great and mine tasted fab. French toast and an egg and fruit. yum! My pal had an omelet with country pots and it looked pretty good too. I don't think the server came to ask if we were ok but she did refill the coffee. Either she was busy or not very attentive. I didn't see the bill but the prices on the menu are pretty reasonable. Ill go back

Friendly service. Husband's eggs benedict was good.. My food was only so-so. Coffee was horrible hence the poor review. Coffee is very important in a breakfast place!

Let's face it, Breakfast is just something most people don't have the time for. And when we do, it's either Denny's or Stabucks. I admit, I'm one of those people who grab a Starbucks before heading to work. I live in Mountain View, work in Palo Alto. Everyday I pass by this place and I can't help but think about having some eggs with toast to go with my grande coffee. YUM! I come in here once in awhile and just order a simple 2 egg breakfast with sausages, hash browns and toast. It's not OMG gotta have it everyday, but it satisfies your breakfast need (if you are one of the very few Silicon Valley people who eat breakfast) and they serve pretty good coffee with the same flavored syrups as Starbucks. so it's a cheaper alternative when I'm craving a peppermint mocha.

I came here based upon the good reviews. I found it to be average. Maybe I should have ordered their pancakes? I tried the eggs benedict, but it had that mustard-colored "packaged" sauce where the hollandaise is supposed to be. My friend's potatoes were a little on the wet side. He liked his omelet, though. The service was just okay, and I didn't find their coffee very tasty. Prices are decent, but portion sizes aren't great, (I left still hungry), which is why my 2.5 rating did not round up to 3, but rather down to 2.

The food was good but I was forgotten sitting outside and it took me 30 minutes to get a coffee and 35 minutes to get my food. The staff seemed overwhelmed but eventually got it together. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was nice. I might give them a chance to make good in the future but I am not so sure.

A solid place for breakfast or brunch. I ordered the ham and eggs with hashbrowns special. The food was good but the fresh squeezed orange juice made my morning. Best of all, the OJ came with the meal +1 star for that. Prices are good as most items are 1-2 bucks cheaper than nearby Rick's Cafe and portions are larger.

We came to the mall for Panini - which was closed for a month, it turned out - and ended up hitting this place instead. The food is good, the staff is nice, etc, etc...Totally acceptable breakfast/lunch option.

Under new management, I guess -- the food's still the same (delicious), but the prices have gone up a lot and the wait staff are snarky, unhelpful, inattentive and downright rude. We don't eat here anymore...

Great place to sit outside with the dog. Good coffee and a huge breakfast selection. Yum! Note, however, that the time we came with a group of 6, we had a realllllly long wait for service.

they have a great selection on the menu, the ingredients taste fresh and are good quality, and i like this place because it's small and quaint. i've eaten here several times and always order omelettes, so i haven't tried anything else. we seem to get there at the right time because there's always another customer finishing up and we don't have to wait long for the next table. their coffee drinks are delish and presented very nicely. the service is friendly, timely, and they always check up on us to make sure we are doing ok. we love coming here for a quiet brunch :)

for a party of two, we split three dishes. one was very good, others were so so. eggs benedict florentine: good 2 buttermilk pancakes: good when hot then it gets cold and lifeless. oatmeal: very plain. i'm used to cantonese style oatmeal. fresh squeezed oj: resembled tropicana oj. a bit artificial in color and taste. i'd go back for eggs benedict.

OK place. They couldn't seem to get the coffee order correct even after asking them several times. The eggs Benedict left something to be desired.

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews and I love the name. It looked promising when we walked in, all the tables were full so clearly people go here. I thought the menu was great - it had all the breakfast choices you like at very fair prices. I ordered the eggs benedict which is my favorite breakfast option and the boyfriend ordered the breakfast sandwich which was cheese and egg on bread. Both came with hash browns. Here are the issues I had with the place- One was the wait for the food. It took longer than normal to receive our breakfast. I usually experience breakfast places to serve food faster. But this place took a long time. The second issue was the food itself. It was the eggs on both of our dishes. While mine is supposed to be a little runny, my egg was a lot runny. It would have been perfect if the egg had been poached a little longer. Same for the boyfriend's sandwich. The egg was so runny, it made the sandwich super soggy. For both of us, the runny egg dominated the taste of the meal. The hollendaise sauce on my dish wasn't flavorful enough so all I tasted was egg. I thought the hashbrowns were okay. They were hot, crispy and a decent amount. I just didn't think they were seasoned at all so I had to do a few shakes of the salt and pepper. The prices were great - it was $18 with tip for the both of us. I'd like to come back and try this place again but so far it's not going on my list of go-to breakfast places.

A good neighborhood breakfast restaurant. The place is small with limited seating. I have had to wait about half of my visits, but typically not a problem as I have them start me with a cup of coffee. The eggs benedict with bacon is a favorite as well as the egg white omelets. Service is not the best for refilling water and coffee so when I need something, I just ask.

  • Peggy A.

Marginal service, disgusting cheese! Pssst: American cheese is not cheese, but they don't know that. I ordered a croissant with eggs and cheese and it was like someone poured glue on it...by the time I got a waitress to come to the table, it was too late for a new order. Which brings us to the service...marginal...be prepared to get your own coffee refill and ask for the check when the food comes or you'll waste your morning waiting...

The first time I came here I almost broke down into tears of nostalgia when I looked on the menu and saw the fried egg and bacon sandwich. My grandmother used to make them for me when I was a kid, they were my favorite thing ever but I hadn't had one in more than 25 years. I asked for it on rye and I swear when I took my first bite it was like my childhood coming back to me in a big rushing wave. I've been here 3 times now and each time the food was great even if the server was a bit absent-minded. (twice I didn't get something I ordered and couldn't remind my server as she never came back to my table) Fairly minor inconvenience though. I LOVE rye bread and this is the only place that I've been to that actually serves rye for anything other than a patty melt. They should expand by enclosing the outer dining area, would really cut down on customer wait time, especially those that don't want to eat outside. Overall great experience

Update (Long Overdue) When I wrote this review, the owner of the restaurant emailed me and offered a free breakfast and chance to chat with her about my experience. While I never took her up on it, I am boosting my review one star for her kind offer. --- Ok, lets get this straight. We rate these places on 3 criteria: Food (duh), environment/atmosphere, and service. A Good Morning got 2 stars only because my breakfast was exactly what I was craving. When my mother and I walked through the door, there was confusion on how to go about being seated. The place was small but it smelled amazing walking through the door. I finally approached someone behind the counter and they pointed at the empty table behind us and handed us menus. About 5 minutes later, someone who "looked" like a server came to our table and stood there... I guess that was our cue we were supposed to order. There was no greeting, no name, nothing. She wrote down our orders (and didn't even ask us what kind of toast we wanted). We waited for what seemed like forever (about 35 minutes) for our food to arrive. My order was correct but my mom was served hash browns when she had requested the home fries... but we decided not to say anything since the wait to get it fixed could cost us more eating time. Well after we were done eating, we had to request our check and we left, tipping poorly. Like I said, the food was excellent... Just some personality or an introduction would have made the experience perhaps 3 or 4 star worthy.

Nice place!!...good old 'Merican Breakfast...lots of hot coffee even if you have to go get it yourself...They let you stick around...literally!! the little outside tables were in desperate need of a hosing from months of spilling those little syrup containers and sticky kid fingers but overall I thought it was a good spot...fresh squeezed OJ, great hash browns and real veggies in the omeltes...waffle was a bit disappointing, thin and cardboardy but I had ordered poached eggs and they were PERFECT ...they offer WiFi (pw= benedict) but it's not always up...hard working if somewhat clueless staff otherwise I'd give it a solid FIVE...picked it from other Yelpers for a late breakfast meeting with a SF friend...good call!!

I love this place. I visited recently with a friend of mine who lives near there and works for google. Apparently he knew where to take me for breakfast cause it definitely opened my eyes up. The decor was beautiful and the place was very open so it made me feel relaxed eating my eggs benedict. Plus they had wifi access so I was able to check my email for anything important. They even asked for my name and I told the waitress that I wasn't even from around there. Wow what great service! Definitely would go there again!

This is a good place for brunch after a sunday morning workout. The price is really reasonable and on many items pretty cheap relative to other places. You may have to wait a bit when they are busy, but for the price and food i don't mind it at all. I usually get the skinny chicken, and granola, both are are yum, and i'm pretty sure they cut their own fresh fruits which is extra awweeeeesome!!!!!

This small spot was family friendly. I definitely recommend getting there before 9 AM on a Sunday to avoid a wait. Food was good, servings plentiful without being overwhelming. Prices were good. Service was fine, but not exceptional.

I wanted pancakes for lunch and they have just what I needed: berry pancakes for $5.50. Instead of maple syrups, the pancakes are served with cream and chocolate syrup. For my spur-of-the-moment craving, I would be happy with just about anything I can get at that particular time, but the pancakes are actually quite good. The strawberries are from the can, adding just enough sweetness to the pancakes. A Good Morning made me a good afternoon. Happy...

I tried A Good Morning for brunch over the weekend based on Yelp reviews. I had the french toast special with scrambled egg, crispy bacon and orange juice. My companion ordered the corned beef and hash, eggs over easy, diced potatoes and coffee. Everything tasted good! My only service issues; we were asked to sign-in when two tables were empty and waiter was slow to bring 1st round of beverages (admittedly minimal). Otherwise, food quality and presentation was very good, as were the prices. It was very busy and the quality of the food/drink has made this restaurant very popular with the locals. I certainly recommend it!

Place is way too small with not enough tables. For just two people there are no tables that are two seaters. Nothing but tables that sit four people. Walked in this morning and the wait staff was unattentive and unfriendly. The only places that was able to sit at was outside but its was blistering cold. Would suggest expand having outdoor seating but maybe invest in some heat lamps. Waited 10 minutes but there was no sign of anyone leaving within the next 20 minutes. Having people stare at you while they're eating def. buts a buzz kill on your morning.

I've been looking for a good breakfast place for lunch during the weekdays. Lots of great selections, but most importantly this place has got the best hash browns in the area. Service is quick and good. Food is excellent. Had the Joe's Wife scramble and corn beef hash with eggs so far. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

This restaurant was much smaller than I expected. Only about 5 tables inside with a few outside (when not raining). The food was pretty good, above average but nothing to rave about. I had the eggs benedict which was good, I liked the home fries that came with. If I'm in the area I'll likely head back (if Hobees is too crowded) but not really worth a big drive.

Cute breakfast place with cute logo in the area. Their menu has the typical breakfast stuff on there with a cute flair to it. I had the chicken apple sausage with two eggs, hash browns and english muffin. My dining companion had the egg white omelette with mushrooms, avocado and cheese...the interesting thing was that the cheese was on top, not inside. Good prices too.

this place is pretty much a small coffee/donut shop with the addition of some tables, silverware and table service. loud, and not very good ambience either. prices are fair for what the place is, around $7 for a plate of eggs and such. that being said, i had the standard eggs, bacon, and toast plate and was somewhat disappointed. breakfast is not difficult to make and its one of my favorite meals...but they used inferior quality ingredients. i could taste the slimy margarine on my toast...its bland and oily...whatever happened to butter? bacon was skimpy, eggs were eggs. as for the delicious hash browns? not really...they were just potatoes fried. bf had pancakes which were only ok. on the other hand, the service was great, and the people are all really friendly. but still, i won't be back, its just not my idea of a good morning.

A very nice spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The menu is both classic and creative, and the ingredients are fresh making the dishes tasty and filling (and healthy too!), and the service friendly and courteous. Good value too! I find them a nice alternate to the Los Altos Coffee Shop and even a Hobee's (though I miss the latter's "energy blends") The location is a bit jinxed as many businesses have come and gone the past several years. Pho Vi Hoa seems to be thriving and I hope A Good Morning also succeeds for it would be a welcome addition to the mix in that plaza. Note: They close at 3 pm.

We go here for a simple breakfast before we go grocery shopping down the street. (Yes, going on a full stomach does help lower the weekly food bill!) We want a few simple things: orange juice - its the best - and a good egg/hash brown meal. The hash browns at exactly right. They have good bacon, I'm told, and always let me sub fruit for meat. I hadn't noticed the staff change everyone else talks about, but I'd noticed that everyone is nice and not pushy. You don't even have to wait long for a table. A reliable place for a simple American-style breakfast.

This is our regular b'fast place - we love it! It's a small mom/pop local stop that's often packed out but it's very laid back, clean and pleasant. The food has always been consistently good and the staff is very friendly. If you're looking for a home style breakfast this is the place to go.

I work a few blocks away from the cafe. I usually order the egg white omelete w/ mushrooms, onions and avocado to go. Unlike some other breakfast/ brunch cafes that use fake eggs from a box, their ingredients are fresh!! - way better than Hobees!! By the time I get back to the office...about 10mins later, my egg white omelete is still nice and hot even the avocado inside the omelete is still green!!!

I've been driving by this place for awhile and just decided to check it out about 2 months ago...I've been back about a dozen times since! The owner really goes out of her way to get everything to you fast and friendly. The food has always been great and moderately priced. The coffee could be just a little stronger, but I'm getting picky. They actually can make my bacon extra crispy when I ask for it...some places take the order, but the cook never seems to get the message. A Good Morning is just the small kind of breakfast place I've been looking for.

I decided to check this place out based on the mostly positive Yelp reviews. The two of us got there around 9:45 on a Saturday morning and were quickly seated at a small table outside. The inside of the restaurant seemed full and we didnt feel like waiting so we didn't mind sitting outside. This place serves your typical breakfast items: eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, french toast, you get the idea. We ordered the All-American Favorite and the French Toast & Eggs Special. The All-American came with 2 eggs, hash browns or country potatoes, and either bacon, sausage, or ham. The French Toast special came with 2 sausages, 1 egg, and 3 slices of french toast. Both meals came with your choice of complimentary tea, coffee, or freshly squeezed OJ. We both opted for the OJ and were not disappointed. Inside the restaurant they also sell a variety of baked goods (streusels, danishes, muffins, croissants, etc). Their food isn't out-of-this-world amazing (it's a breakfast place, how creative can you really get?) , but the portion sizes, prices, and extensive menu will definitely keep me coming back!

My coworker and I frequent this place at least once a week and split a Big Boy or some other scramble with hashbrowns and sourdough bread with lots of cinnamon apple jam. They will split an order at no charge and the potions are just pefect for that. The hot chocolate is amazing with tons of whipped cream on top and powdered chocolate on top. The only down side is that the place is small and no tables will fit more than 4 people.
